CONFIRMED: 5 Ride Rules Disney World Is Enforcing in 2025
If you are planning a Disney World vacation, you will want to know what to expect.

Magic Kingdom
Every year, Disney makes changes, but 2025 has brought some rule changes. There are rules from hotel cancellations to what guests can wear in the parks. Today, we’re talking about ride rules that will be enforced on your vacation.
1. The Safety Guidelines for Rides
Cast Members take guest safety seriously. This means they will enforce all of the rules on Disney World rides. Things like height requirements, restraints, no arms and legs outside the vehicle, and staying seated on rides are a must. Do not climb out of the ride vehicle — even for a cucumber.

2. If You’re in Line, You Can Ride
Cast Members will allow any guests who are in line for an attraction before the park closes to stay in line and ride. This means you can get in line for Tower of Terror at 8:59 PM if the park closes at 9 PM, and you can ride. However, Cast Members will enforce the time cut-off as well, so if you want to do this, plan accordingly.

3. Lightning Lane Times
Your Lightning Lane time slot will be enforced — kinda. You typically cannot scan in early for a Lightning Lane. Cast Members will make you step to the side until your time slot. With Lightning Lane Multi-Pass, you will have 1 hour to ride. We have actually tested this and found that you have a 2-hour grace period from the end of that 1 hour. Now, this can go away at any time, so don’t try it unless absolutely necessary.

4. Single Riders are SINGLE
If you are using the Single Rider line on attractions, Cast Members will use you to fill in gaps for parties. This means that you will not be allowed to ride together if you and someone in your group both get in the single rider line, hoping for a shorter wait time. Do not even ask Cast Members for this because it is abusing the system.

5. No Loose Items on TRON
You will have to place your items inside of lockers when you are riding TRON Lightcycle/Run. This means hats, sunglasses, keys, wallets, and bags. This is for the safety of guests on and off the ride to prevent items from falling. Cast Members will be at the lockers, making sure guests put items inside.
