3 Hints That a MAJOR Animal Kingdom Announcement Is Coming
Picture this — in a few years, Disney’s Animal Kingdom will look wildly different.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom
We are getting an entirely new area dedicated to the Tropical Americas. But with new attractions and theming coming, we have to say goodbye to a land we love, DinoLand U.S.A. We have already seen the closure of TriceraTop Spin, Fossil Fun Games, and Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures, but parts of DinoLand are still up and running. Now, Disney has announced those are coming to an end so it has us anxiously awaiting the BIG announcement on everyone’s mind.
DinoLand, U.S.A. is being transformed into Pueblo Esperanza, which will be home to a new Indiana Jones ride, plus the first-ever Encanto ride at a Disney park, as well as a new carousel. Construction has already started in the DinoRama area of the land, but parts of DinoLand remain open. Here’s 3 hints that Disney will make a big announcement soon.

1. One Less Dinosaur
While construction walls went up in DinoLand in January, there was one thing we could still see one very large reminder of the past — Cementosaurus.

DinoLand
This was the MASSIVE green dinosaur that would greet you near the Fossil Fun Games. Well, our smiley dino friend has been taken down making this change even more glaring. We will be holding space for our large dino in our hearts.

Goodbye Dinos
2. Restaurantosaurus and Dino Bites
Disney recently announced that Restaurantosaurus will be open for a bit longer in 2025, but chances are this spot will close at the end of the year. We don’t have a current closure date which is something we are expecting to hear as we get later in 2025.

Dino-Bite Snacks is also still open, so if you’ve got a hankering for an ice cream cookie sandwich, you’ve got time to grab one. Again, no official closure date here yet.

3. Not All Dinosaurs Are Extinct
The Boneyard is still open and welcoming little archeologists to play daily. Disney has stated that there is still time for guests to play here with no official end date.

If you haven’t taken one last ride with Dr. Seeker, there is still time! We know that DINOSAUR will be closing in 2026, but we don’t have an official date just yet. This attraction will transition over to a new Indiana Jones adventure ride!

Dinosaur
While we’re sad to see the end of DinoLand drawing near, we are excited about everything that the new Pueblo Esperanza land will bring to Animal Kingdom. As we not so patiently wait so Disney to share official closing dates for these last bits of DinoLand, be sure to follow DFB. We will report any Disney news to you.
