We Did Yoga with an OWL in Disney World. 10/10, Highly Recommend
Disney Springs is often the place we recommend for shopping or dining around Disney World because while the parks and hotels have great restaurants and Disney-themed stores, Disney Springs is on another level.
For the month of January, Disney Springs has a special event going on that those focused on wellness and starting their year off on the right foot won’t want to miss. This month, there are multiple FREE offerings for Disney Springs’ Wellness Month event, and one of them is a free fitness class taught by none other than the Cirque Du Soleil performers who showcase their skills in Drawn to Life each evening!
Bring your yoga mat over to the Amphitheater near the Boathouse at Disney Springs and get ready to take part in the Cirque Du Soleil Drawn to Life Wellness Workout that’s friendly for all ages.
The class is taught by Cirque performers, but not only that — there are also Cirque performers all throughout the audience with their own yoga mats to help you see the moves if you’re not as close to the front!
While some of the performers are in regular workout gear, others are in FULL costume! Yes, we did yoga next to an owl and it was incredible.
Each move demonstrated is shown at three different levels — a beginner, a medium, and the highest level is called “Cirque Level” which is essentially close to what they perform in the actual show! Needless to say, we stayed right at the beginning level and got plenty of exercise.
The energy around the class was fantastic — everyone was positive and uplifting, with everyone feeling encouraged to push themselves a little bit without burning themselves out. Not to mention that the view we got was stunning!
This happens multiple times throughout the month, and you can check the Disney Springs website to see when it, and the other Wellness Month offerings, are being offered throughout the rest of the month. You can also experience 10% off meals at Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ and Everglazed, get a free facial if you register for one 48 hours in advance, and participate in a high energy Zumba class!

Disclosure: In nearly all circumstances, Disney Food Blog writers and photographers pay full price for their own travel, hotel, food, beverage, and event tickets. We do this because it’s important to us as journalists to ensure not only that we give you unbiased opinions, but also that you can trust us to do so since we’re paying our own way. On rare occasions, when we are invited by a company to attend a preview as media, and when we choose to accept that invitation, we will always make you, our readers, aware of that situation. Today, we were invited by Disney World to attend their media preview of Disney Springs’ Wellness Month offerings. Note that when we attend events as media we are 1) Not required to review that event/food on any of our channels, and 2) Not required to review that event/food favorably. You can always count on DFB to give you a 100% unbiased and honest review of any event that we attend, food that we eat, or beverage that we drink. You can see more in our Disclosure Policy.
