This NEW $90 Splurge in Disney World Will Make Your Trip 10X Better

There are some seriously underrated souvenirs in Disney World that so many visitors never know about, but we do our best to bring them to your attention.

Crystal Arts in Magic Kingdom

For example, we love the custom silhouettes because it’s just such a unique experience. We also love paying a few extra dollars to get a little something extra on the free “I’m Celebrating” buttons. We also love that you can get personalized ornaments in Disney World, too, and those gorgeous hand-painted parasols. Well, we just experienced another fun customized experience that’s fit for a princess: we made a custom DFB tiara!

You’re probably familiar with Crystal Arts by Arribas Brothers in Magic Kingdom, even if you’ve only just walked by the shop (no doubt you’ve seen that fabulous crystal Cinderella Castle in the window). This shop is all about hand-made crystal souvenirs (you can even watch the artisans at work), but you can also experience the Tiara Foundry, where you can design your own tiara.

The Tiara Foundry

Here’s how it works: you choose one of three tiara styles: Heart, Your Majesty, or Marquise, and then choose a finish for your tiara: silver, gold, or rose gold.

Tiara styles and colors

We went with the Marquise style in silver, which just seems SO elegant. It’s also the most popular style. Then, it’s time to choose your stones. There’s a wooden display board with the three crown styles to help you figure out the size of the stones that the tiara accommodates, but you can also use this to lay out your color scheme. The colors available are the same as the crystals for the Wish Keeper experience.

Crystals

You have a huge variety of stone colors to choose from, but we decided to stick with the blue colors that represent DFB. So, we pulled up the website on our phone and chose the stones that matched those colors best. The Marquise style only uses small stones, so we chose our blue colors in that size.

Choosing stones

Then, a Cast Member attaches the stones to the tiara.

What you end up with is a beautiful customized souvenir that’s SUPER unique.

We feel like royalty now!

The experience costs $89, and we feel that’s a pretty reasonable price, considering that you basically get the experience of creating your own tiara and a piece of wearable treasure.

So if you’ve ever wanted to feel even MORE like royalty in Disney World, you’ll want to check out the Tiara Foundry — you’ll find Crystal Arts by Arribas Bros. on Main Street, U.S.A.

Stay tuned to DFB for more.
