8 Back-Pocket Disney World Restaurants for Last-Minute Reservations

You can tell your group is getting hungry, and someone suggests heading to a sit-down restaurant for a relaxing meal. Everyone agrees, but there is one big problem, you haven’t made any dining reservations. Dun dun dun!

Magic Kingdom

It may seem like the start of a Disney World horror movie, but have no fear because DFB is here with eight restaurants that are perfect for last-minute reservations. Not only do these restaurants usually have last-minute reservations, but they also serve up some delicious food!

No matter where you are in Disney World, we have some recommendations for restaurants that usually have last-minute reservations. We can’t make any guarantees, but we always have the most luck booking these restaurants when everything else seems to be booked.

Liberty Tree Tavern

Starting off in Magic Kingdom with Liberty Tree Tavern. Liberty Tree Tavern serves up an all-you-can-eat Thanksgiving meal inside a dining area themed after a late 18th-century home.

You will enjoy be able to enjoy roasted turkey, pot roast, and oven-roasted pork served with mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, seasonal veggies, and herb stuffing. Plus, one of our favorite desserts in Disney World: Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake. If you can’t find a reservation at Liberty Tree Tavern, also try The Diamond Horseshoe, as you might be able to find an opening there, and it serves the same food as Liberty Tree Tavern.

La Crêperie de Paris

Over in EPCOT, we recommend checking out La Crêperie de Paris in the France Pavilion. The restaurant offers a variety of savory crêpes called “galettes” and sweet crêpes. 

Banane Crêpe (Banana and Caramel)

We think the food is delicious here and this restaurant is often overlooked as it is a bit hidden back by Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. You can order a la carte here, or also take advantage of a prix fixe menu that comes with a choice of soup or a salad, one savory galette, one dessert crêpe, and a glass of hard cider, soda, or juice.

Hollywood and Vine

If you are looking for a last-minute reservation in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we suggest giving Hollywood and Vine a try! Hollywood and Vine is a character dining restaurant that also offers an all-you-can-eat buffet.

Hi Pluto!

While we will admit that this isn’t our favorite food in all of Disney World, the character interactions are fabulous here! And the food is tasty with lots of options, even picky eaters will be able to find something here.

Tusker House

Heading over to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, we highly recommend checking out Tusker House! We are always surprised that this restaurant tends to have a lot of reservations available because we really love the food here.

Tusker House is also a character dining meal, so you will be paying more for your food to be able to meet the Disney characters. If you are hoping to meet some characters and have a fabulous meal, then Tusker House would be a great choice for a last-minute reservation.

Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill

Now, we are moving over to Disney Springs! We love Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill for a last-minute reservation. The restaurant seeks to “modernize the traditional bar and grill.” You will find many of Wolfgang Puck’s signature dishes and specialty cocktails on the menu.

On Saturdays and Sundays, you enjoy brunch at Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill. We have enjoyed everything we have tried at this restaurant, so you can’t go wrong with your selection. Plus, you can usually find a reservation here!

House of Blues

Also in Disney Springs, you might want to check out House of Blues if you are hoping to snag a last-minute reservation. We think this is a great option for southern comfort food if you can’t get a reservation at Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’.

While we still prefer Homecomin’, House of Blues still offers some delicious food. The last time we ate here, we were so impressed with our meal. We loved the Mac and Cheese, Cajun Chicken Pasta, Loaded Fries, and Bread Pudding.

Olivia’s Cafe

Now, let’s talk about some of our favorite hotel restaurants that can be perfect for grabbing a last-minute reservation. Our first recommendation is Olivia’s Cafe at Disney’s Old Key West Resort.

Olivia’s Cafe is a beachy, breezy, casual restaurant that serves up classic American fare that is inspired by the Florida Keys. You can also grab brunch here every day! We have loved our meals here and it is a bit under the radar, so you can usually find a reservation here.

Trattoria al Forno

Finally, we are heading over to Disney’s BoardWalk Inn for our final recommendation for a last-minute reservation, Trattoria al Forno. This restaurant serves up Italian food and the menu features regional specialities with classic preparations.

We think this restaurant has some of the best Italian food in Disney World, and you can usually snag a reservation. We were also so impressed with the service here, and highly recommend it for a last-minute reservation.

Just because you missed out on snagging an Advance Dining Reservation, doesn’t mean you can’t still have delicious food at Disney World. These restaurants all serve up some tasty food, and you can usually snag a last-minute reservation.

But it’s important to note that there is an additional way to grab a last-minute table in Disney World — through the Mobile Walk-Up Waitlist. This is a feature in the My Disney Experience app that allows you to join a waitlist for a table at participating restaurants when they have availability. We especially love using this feature at the Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and at Nomad Lounge in Animal Kingdom.
