NEWS: Disney Teases NEW PERKS for Disney Vacation Club Members!

Being a Disney Vacation Club Member comes with tons of perks.

Not only do you have the luxury of being able to take ample Disney vacations and having a “home resort,” but you also get access to dining, hotel, and shopping discounts, previews for new attractions, first dibs on certain special event tickets, and more. The list goes on and on — but soon, it’s about to get even longer as Disney just teased something big!

If you’re not already a Disney Vacation Club Member, now might be a good time to consider joining this exclusive club! Essentially, you can think of the DVC as Disney’s version of a timeshare. But, Members are not “locked in” to a particular Disney destination, hotel, style of accommodation, season of travel, or length of stay. Instead, Members utilize a Vacation Points system, offering more flexibility.

It can be a great way to experience all the various destinations Disney has to offer, but it can also be great for all the PERKS! And, in a post on Instagram, Disney Vacation Club teased even more benefits on the way for DVC Members coming this summer.

Of course, in typical Disney fashion, they haven’t given us too many details on what the new perks might be or when they could start to roll out. But, they did share a graphic teasing us with some text covered by clouds, and we’re no codebreakers but it looks like it could say, “Welcome Home Perks.” What those perks are, well, we’ll just have to wait and see for now! But, we’ll be sharing every update we can get.

In other DVC news, Disney just confirmed that the Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade will close for good, and will be replaced with a new Disney Vacation Club Lounge!

This will be the third DVC lounge in Disney World, which includes a DVC lounge in EPCOT at the Imagination Pavilion and Top of the World — A Villains Lair at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Disney has not yet announced an opening date for the new lounge, but the company has confirmed that Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade’s last day will be June 23rd.
