BREAKING: OPENING DATE Announced for 1900 Park Fare Restaurant in Disney World

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort is a stunning, classic (expensive) hotel. It’s got a spa, a beautiful pool, views of Magic Kingdom, and some AMAZING dining options. But there’s one restaurant we’ve been missing for a while. In fact, it’s been closed since 2020!

We’ve had our eyes on the Disney website for YEARS, awaiting an update on one Grand Floridian restaurant. And finally — finally! — this dining spot has a reopening date. Mark your calendars, people! This is BIG!

Disney just announced that 1900 Park Fare will reopen with NEW dining offerings starting April 10th, 2024. Say WHAT?! Yep, as of this April, we can finally return to this classic restaurant for a meal just outside the gates of Magic Kingdom.

Disney hasn’t shared a peek at the new menu yet; in fact, the old menu was removed from the website altogether. But we did get an interesting hint. On the Disney website, we caught a line of text reading, “Check back on March 5th, 2024 for more information.” Oooh — what could that mean?!

In the past, this restaurant offered buffet dining with Disney characters. You could meet characters during both breakfast and dinner! During the breakfast meal, known as the Supercalifragilistic Breakfast, you could meet characters like Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland, and even The Mad Hatter.

Then, the meal switched after breakfast to Cinderella’s Happily Ever After Dinner, with appearances from Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine, and Cinderella’s stepsisters, Anastasia and Drizella!

One of the signature menu items here was the Floridian Strawberry Soup. It was served during both breakfast and dinner and was a favorite among many Disney fans. It’s not quite a smoothie, but it’s not a warm, savory soup either. Instead, it’s a cold, sweet soup with a smooth texture and a few blended strawberries. Luckily, Disney announced that this menu item will RETURN!
