Tokyo Disney Resort

We already knew 2024 was going to be a big year for Tokyo Disney with new festivals and ride overlaysbut it turns out the whole year is booked with exciting experiences! Tokyo Disney Resort just released its 2024 fiscal event calendar and there is a lot to dissect! Let’s take a look!

Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea have a full slate of events scheduled between now and March 2025 and there’s a lot to get into! Keep in mind these dates and titles could be subject to change.

Tokyo DisneySea

April is gearing up to be a big month at Tokyo Disney. From April 1st through June 30th, 2024, Tokyo DisneySea will be home to its first-ever “Tokyo DisneySea Food & Wine Festival”The festival will offer guests the opportunity to travel the world through cuisine with “special courses, set meals, and snacks that can be enjoyed on the go as well as delicious beverages for all ages.” The festival will also be inspired by Tokyo DisneySea’s different ports and offer educational opportunities for guests.

From April 9th through June 30th, 2024, Tokyo DisneySea will host “Dreaming of Fantasy Springs” in honor of the grand opening of Fantasy Springs later this year (more on that later). The event will consist of a harbor greeting, decorations, merchandise, and special menus.

During the same time frame, Tokyo Disney’s other park, Tokyo Disneyland will play host to Disney Pal-PaloozaThe first event of this special series turned the park pink earlier this year starting January 10th, and the second event in the series begins April 9th. “This special event series is all about having a blast with your “pals” in the Park in a party-like, “palooza,” environment.” The first event was centered around Minnie while the second will focus on a different character.

Staying in April, from the 9th through July 31st, 2024, “Celebrating Space Mountain: The Final Ignition!” will take place at Tokyo Disneyland. This iteration of Space Mountain is about to undergo a complete transformation starting at the end of the day on July 31st and eventually reopen in 2027.  This celebration will maintain the current version of Space Mountain one last time.

The main event at Tokyo DisneySea will take place on June 6th, 2024 when the theme park opens Fantasy Springs (see, we told you we’d get to it!). Fantasy Springs is a park expansion “themed to magical springs that lead to a world of Disney fantasy.”  The expansion will be comprised of three areas and a new hotel.

The three Fantasy Springs lands will be Frozen Kingdom, Rapunzel’s Forest, and Peter Pan’s Never Land.

Frozen Kingdom is based on Disney’s Frozen and will feature the “beautiful scenery of the kingdom of Arendelle” as well as the Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey attraction.

Rapunzel’s Forest is centered around Rapunzel’s tower from Tangled and includes Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival, a romantic boat ride attraction.

Peter Pan’s Never Land features iconic Peter Pan scenery from Captain Hook’s pirate ship to the famous Skull Rock present in the movie. The land will also feature the Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure and Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies attractions.

Fantasy Springs will also be home to Tokyo DisneySea Fantasy Springs Hotel, “the sixth Disney hotel to open in Japan”. The hotel will have two buildings — the Fantasy Chateau and the Grand Chateau — as well as restaurants and a shop all inside Fantasy Springs.
