REVIEW: The New SODA Flight in Disney World Did NOT Miss!
Disney is introducing tons of new snacks and offerings for the holidays.
We’re making it our mission to try them all, and today we’re in Disney Springs to try the new drinks over at the Coca-Cola Rooftop Bar — are they worth the money this holiday season?
Over at the Coca-Cola Rooftop Bar in Disney Springs, you can grab the Holiday Flavors Flight for $14. This flight includes three different drinks that all have different holiday flavors: Coca-Cola Cinnamon, Sprite Cranberry, and a Gingerbread Coca-Cola Float.
The first drink is the Coca-Cola Cinnamon, which has whipped cream and a wafer roll garnish. The thick layer of whipped cream on the top of this one made it hard to drink at first. We enjoyed the cinnamon crumb topping, and we love a good wafer cookie. We were pleasantly surprised that the cinnamon flavor seemed to mix well with this sweet soda, and we would even prefer a little bit more spice!
The Sprite Cranberry is a refreshing, light contrast to the richer drinks in the flight. The tartness of the cranberry gives this drink an almost dry quality. The cranberry is a good addition to the lemon-lime flavors of Sprite. This one is the least unusual/special of the flight (you can actually get Sprite Cranberry at some grocery stores right now), but we enjoyed it in combination with the other two drinks.
The Gingerbread Coca-Cola Float has a thick coating of whipped topping that is mixed into the soda to give it the float creaminess factor. The soda is regular Coke with an added ginger flavor. We enjoyed the warm spice the ginger added to the familiar Coca-Cola flavor and thought it definitely tasted like the holidays. The whipped topping is a little fake for our taste — it didn’t taste like real whipped cream. This is a rich drink. We like the small size of the drink here because we definitely couldn’t drink a larger one. The cookie garnish was surprisingly tasty — thin, crisp, and flavorful!
Overall, this is a very fun flight to share with a friend. It definitely has those warm holiday spices that make it taste like Christmas. Those looking for a good mocktail or those who enjoy tasting new soda flavors will especially enjoy this.
If you aren’t a fan of Christmas-y flavors, or you don’t like to veer from your tried and true favorite soda flavors, you may want to opt for a more traditional Coca-Cola here.
