Is This the BEST Quick Service Restaurant in Disney’s Hollywood Studios?

It’s time to settle the debate once and for all — what are REALLY the BEST quick service restaurants in Disney’s Hollywood Studios?

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

When you think about great food in Disney World, Hollywood Studios is rarely the park that comes to mind. Sorry, but it’s the truth. Sure, there are some iconic classics like the famous Cobb Salad at the Hollywood Brown Derby, and the comfort food at 50s Prime Time Café is certainly nothing to scoff at. But both of those are TABLE service spots…so what if you want something FAST? Don’t worry — there are still some excellent options! You just have to know where to look.

There are four restaurants that we think could qualify as the BEST quick service spots in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. They’re all great for different reasons! Let’s dive in.

Ronto Roasters

Ronto Roasters is one of the best fast food spots in Hollywood Studios, even despite its limited menu. There are only a couple of options available, but what’s there is GOOD.

Ronto Wrap

The classic Ronto Wrap is one of our favorite things to eat in Hollywood Studios, but many people actually prefer the Ronto Morning Wrap, which features eggs, grilled sausage, and cheese.

And there’s even a very tasty Zuchii Wrap for those who follow a plant-based diet!

Seating at this restaurant is all outdoors, although most of it is under a roof to keep you safe from the rain or sun. The dining room is pretty small, so it could be tricky to find a seat if you’re visiting during peak meal times.

Don’t forget to say hello to the pitmaster droid, who’s hard at work turning a mechanical spit to cook up your meal!

Ronto Roasters in Galaxy’s Edge

Ronto Roasters might not be the best spot for picky eaters, but if you’re looking for unique and delicious eats, it’s one of our favorite places to grab a snack or light meal.

Woody’s Lunch Box

Woody’s Lunch Box is popular for a reason! It has adorable theming and some solid options on the menu.

Woody’s Lunch Box

Like Ronto Roasters, the seating is all outdoors at Woody’s Lunch Box. Most of the tables have umbrellas, so you can usually still find a spot in the shade. And if you’re lucky, you might get to sit on a giant Babybel cheese!

Cheese tables

One of the most popular things on the menu here is the Totchos, which are nachos but with tater tots instead of chips.

“Totchos”

If you’re more of a breakfast food person, go for the Breakfast Bowl, which has tater tots smothered in smoked brisket country gravy, scrambled eggs, and green onions.

The breakfast bowl!

We also love the BBQ Brisket Melt, or if it’s a little bit chilly outside, you can’t go wrong with a plain Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup.

Those Lunch Box Tarts are super fun! They might just look like fancy pop tarts (and OK, maybe that’s exactly what they are), but we love ’em all the same.

Raspberry Lunch Box Tart

You can usually find different seasonal flavors of those Lunch Box Tarts on the menu.

Docking Bay 7

We’re going back to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge for the next restaurant on our list: Docking Bay 7 is another quick service spot with plenty of tasty eats on the menu.

Docking Bay 7

This restaurant is run by Proprietor Chef Strono “Cookie” Tuggs, who honed his skills in the kitchen of Maz Kanata.

Dining room

There’s some indoor seating here, and you’ll likely not have trouble finding a spot as long as you don’t go during peak meal times. Try visiting right at 11AM or between 3PM and 5PM for the best results. There’s also some outdoor seating if you can’t find a table inside.

Outdoor seating

One of our favorite things about this place is that, after 3PM, it serves Ronto Wraps! Yep, after Ronto Roasters closes at 3PM, you can still get those delicious wraps by heading to Docking Bay 7 instead.

However, that doesn’t mean that Docking Bay 7 doesn’t have some of its own tasty and unique dishes. We like the Fried Endorian Chicken Tip Yip, and we’ve really enjoyed the Topato Stir-Fry and Roasted Endorian Chicken Salad in the past.

Fried Endorian Tip-Yip

This is a great spot for Star Wars fans to feel immersed in the theming (without having to fight tooth and nail for a reservation at Oga’s Cantina), and we like that it embraces the fun Batuu backstory.

There aren’t tons of options for pickier eaters, though, as even the more familiar eats are presented in a way to make them seem “Star Wars-y” and unique.

Backlot Express

One of the best places for an easy, familiar meal is Backlot Express. This “warehouse of good eating” is themed as a film production warehouse, so make sure to walk around and look at all the props and decorations when you stop by.

Backlot Express

The food isn’t super incredible — it’s mostly burgers, sandwiches, and salads — but pretty much everything is tasty and filling. You can get a Smoked BBQ Pulled Pork Burger, a Teriyaki Chicken Bowl, or a Cuban Sandwich, or opt for the lighter Southwest Salad or Teriyaki Tofu Bowl.

Menu items at Backlot Express!

Possibly the best thing about this restaurant is that there’s a TON of indoor seating available, so on rainy or hot days, you’re almost guaranteed to get a table inside and out of the weather.

Backlot Express

Another great thing about Backlot Express is free refills on your soda! You fill your own drinks here, and you can go back for refills as much as you want.

One of our favorite things to order is the Wookie Cookie, which is two oatmeal cookies sandwiched together with vanilla buttercream.

If you’re traveling with kids or picky eaters, Backlot Express is going to be the best choice for lunch in Hollywood Studios.

Honorable Mention: ABC Commissary

We know we said we’d only mention four restaurants, but we have to talk really quickly about ABC Commissary. This restaurant definitely won “most improved” over the last few years.

ABC Commissary

ABC Commissary used to be a definite “pass” for us, but they re-vamped their menu in the last year, and the new eats have made all the difference.

Abc Commissary Eats

We loved the Pork Carnitas Tacos, Curry Rice Bowl with Shrimp, and Watermelon Margarita, but our team’s FAVORITE new item is the Buffalo Chicken Grilled Cheese Sandwich.

Buffalo Chicken Grilled Cheese

The theming in ABC Commissary is also fun — it’s staged to look like a production studio cafeteria, with props and posters for current TV shows all around.

ABC Commissary

There’s also LOTS of indoor seating here, which is a huge bonus if the weather isn’t nice outside. Plus you get to fill your own soda cups here, which means free refills!
