EVERYTHING You Need To Know About Disney’s Yacht Club in 2023
ANCHORS AWAY…. We’re setting sail towards Disney’s Yacht Club Resort located in the EPCOT resort area of Walt Disney World. If you love waterside adventure and want a deluxe hotel, then Disney’s Yacht Club Resort is the right pick for you! We love the nautical decor throughout the resort. Step inside the lobby and you’ll see the quiet elegance of a New England sailing club.
The serene lobby’s comforting quiet sets the tone for this luxurious hotel. Antique globes and maps, ship wheels, patriotic icons, and brass lamps create a nautical theme. Textures include velvet chairs, dark hardwood floors, and sailor’s ropes. The maritime color palette is rich in deep tones including navy, burgundy, red and gold. In comparison to its sister resort, Disney’s Beach Club, the decor here is stately and mature. Yes, you’ll find a more formal mood here.
Situated on Crescent Lake across from the BoardWalk Inn, this hotel shares a massive pool complex with Disney’s Beach Club. Stormalong Bay showcases a lazy river, hot tubs, waterslide, and even a sandy-bottomed swimming pool.
Outside, the sound of seagulls and water lapping against boats in the marina is hypnotic and peaceful.
You expect to see a skipper sporting an admiral’s cap sauntering by. The landscaping is controlled and orderly with manicured lawns, short hedges, and vibrant flower beds.
Room & Theme
Inside this resort, you may find a “stuffier” vibe compared to the more laidback atmosphere at the adjacent Beach Club Resort. This hotel is popular for conferences, so you’ll see more people dressed in business attire. Even so, your family will not feel out of place as you wander around in your park attire. This is still Disney World, after all.
And since it is Disney, you’ll find holidays like Easter and Christmas being celebrated with special decor and activities.
Disney’s Yacht Club features standard guest rooms with either 1 King Bed OR 1 King Bed and 1 Day Bed OR 2 Queen Beds OR 2 Queen Beds and 1 Day Bed, as well as Club Level Rooms (up to a 2 Bedroom Suite which sleeps up to 6 adults).
Most Disney’s Yacht Club Resort rooms are 381 square feet, sleep up to 5, and are furnished with the following: Two queen beds, dresser, table with 2 chairs, full-length mirror, WiFi wireless Internet access, flat-panel TV, mini fridge, coffee maker, ironing board and iron, hair dryer, digital thermostat, in-room safe, shower-mounted shampoo, conditioner, and body wash/bar soap.
For standard rooms, guests may choose a Standard View, a Water View (lagoon or pool), or a Garden or Woods View.
Price Range
As one of the most expensive resorts at Walt Disney World, this resort scores very low on value. It’s hard not to feel some sticker shock when you price out this hotel. With such a high cost, many guests expect more luxurious accommodations.
For the Yacht Club, that means that for the cheapest room at the cheapest time to visit, you can expect to pay around $537 per night (not accounting for any tax or current discounts), and it goes up to $3,877 per night (not accounting for any tax or current discounts) for the most expensive rooms at the most expensive time to visit.
Dog friendly
And guess what? Fido can enjoy a stay at the Yacht Club, too! This hotel is one of Disney World’s Dog-Friendly Resorts (a limit of two dogs per room, restrictions, and fees apply).
For an extra nightly fee of $75, your furry friend can bunk with you. Pet owners interested in learning more may call (407) 939 – 7539.
Additionally, Best Friends Pet Care — a pet care center on Disney World property — offers a service to guests staying at the Yacht Club. They will pick up and drop off your pup to take them to doggy daycare, overnight boarding, or even grooming! Pet owners interested in learning more about Best Friends Pet Care services during your stay can call (877) WDW-PETS or (877) 493-9738 or visit bestfriendspetcare.com.

Dining Options
There are some great restaurants right at the Yacht Club! There are two table-service restaurants — the Yachtsman Steakhouse, which serves up top-of-the-line steaks and the Ale and Compass, highlighting steaks and seafood. Plus, there are Quick Service restaurants and relaxing lounges.
Ale & Compass Restaurant
If you’re a fan of sweet breakfasts, don’t miss the Dark Chocolate Waffle, which is served with Cherry Compote and Espresso-Mascarpone Cream.
At dinner, the New England Seafood Pot Pie (with shrimp, scallops, crab and vegetables in a flaky crust) is a favorite. You’ll also find classics like steak, roast chicken, and burgers on the menu.
This spot serves New England-inspired comfort food as the casual Table Service component of the Ale & Compass dining concept.
Ale & Compass Lounge
Ale & Compass Lounge serves original and classic cocktails, along with a substantial appetizer menu.
Inside you’ll find a sleek and modern space with nautical touches.
Crew’s Cup Lounge
You’ll find a limited “pub” menu here in the evenings, but the atmosphere, quality, and flavors make this a hidden gem.
If you just want to unwind, this is a great place for a snack and refreshing beverage. You can order bar snacks like truffle fries, and the menu features all of your classic lounge favorites like scotch and cognac, plus an extensive wine list and some local draft beer.
Hurricane Hanna’s Waterside Bar and Grill
Hurricane Hanna’s is located in the common area of the Stormalong Bay pool at Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resort, offering delicious pool-side entrees (such as burgers, salads, and chicken strips), snacks, and a large variety of adult beverages in a relaxing and casual nautical environment.
You should know that you cannot swim in the pool unless you are a guest of the Yacht Club or Beach Club, but anyone can enjoy a drink or a snack at Hurricane Hanna’s.
The Market at Ale & Compass
The location provides counter service convenience to Yacht Club guests. Here the focus is on grab-and-go items such as cold sandwiches, fruit cups, and salads. But there is a coffee bar, and there are hot items available here, as well.
Best bets here include the Ham and Cheese Breakfast Sandwich served on a Pretzel Roll, or the Cuban Sandwich for lunch or dinner. The Market is also a great place to find special, themed cupcakes and other treats around the holidays.
Yachtsman Steakhouse
At the resort’s signature restaurant, The Yachtsman Steakhouse, aged, grain-fed beef prepared on an oak-fired grill is the specialty in this upscale setting.
You’ll spot lots of wood incorporated into the design of the space, with those nautical details, and plenty of natural light (if you happen to dine here before sunset). The streamlined curves, natural woods, and soft linens all lend themselves to that classic nautical feeling.
And while the upholstery isn’t going to captivate you, the showpiece of the restaurant is the open kitchen and the butcher block where you watch as chefs expertly carve out each unique steak — because the real star here is the meat. No fireworks or characters at this restaurant, because you’ll want to focus all of your attention on the prime choice cut of steak you’re about to enjoy.
Have you overlooked THIS Walt Disney World steakhouse?
And when you’re planning your next snack or meal, you can utilize the restaurants at the nearby hotels and theme parks for additional dining options. Don’t forget the restaurants right next door at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. These include Beaches & Cream Soda Shop, Cape May Cafe, Martha’s Vineyard, and Beach Club Marketplace.

Contemporary vs. Yacht Club Resort Guide
Transportation
Yacht Club guests have access to several types of Resort transportation.
Yacht Club Walkways
A rare perk is that, from the Yacht Club, guests have a very short walk to get to EPCOT’s International Gateway (between the park’s United Kingdom and France pavilions).
Guest can also walk to the connected Beach Club Resort, to the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, and to all of the dining and shopping along Disney’s BoardWalk.
Guests may also walk along Crescent Lake to Disney’s Hollywood Studios; however, due to the longer distance to Hollywood Studios, another form of transportation to Hollywood Studios is provided.
Friendship Boats
Guests may take a Friendship Boat down Crescent Lake to Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
The Friendship Boat also makes stops at EPCOT, BoardWalk Inn, and the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels.
Disney Skyliner
The International Gateway hosts EPCOT’S Disney Skyliner Station. From EPCOT, the Skyliner goes has a stop at Disney’s Riviera Resort and continues directly to Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort (which serves as the Skyliner Hub).
From Caribbean Beach, guests can then transfer to Disney’s Hollywood Studios (or to Disney’s Pop Century and Art of Animation Resorts).
Disney Bus Transportation
Guests also have complimentary access to Disney Bus Transportation to and from all four theme parks, water parks, and Disney Springs.
Disney’s Yacht Club is a beautiful, deluxe resort within the Walt Disney World resort. Guests staying at this EPCOT area hotel will enjoy wonderful amenities!
