A Disney Springs Store Has Permanently CLOSED

Carousels, cars that can swim, and movie theaters — Disney Springs is much more than a place to go shopping! Some Disney fans may still refer to this place as Downtown Disney, though Disney Springs has changed a LOT since the days of Downtown Disney. Between all the new restaurants, snack spots, and shops, Disney Springs is constantly changing.

There’s even a movie theater here!

Recently, we saw one store close its doors while another spot celebrated its grand opening. There’s a lot to keep up with, and now another store has permanently closed in Disney Springs. 

We’ve seen quite a few stores shut down in Disney Springs in 2023. First, there was the Sosa Family Cigars shop over by Salt & Straw; then, more recently, the UGG store closed its doors as well.

The Ugg shop is permanently closed.

As of this May, another Disney Springs location has closed. Near the center of Disney Springs, the Melissa shoe store has officially closed. This shop sold jelly shoes and other accessories made from recyclable materials.

Goodbye, Melissa!

When we got a little closer, we noticed a sign that said, “Something new is coming soon.” At this time, Disney has not shared what will be replacing the Melissa store. For now, we’ll have to wait and see!

Disney has not shared its plans for what’s to come.

Luckily, for all our jelly shoe fans out there, you can still shop for shoes on the Melissa website. In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so stay tuned for more!
