The Two BEST Things On the Menu at Narcoossee’s in Disney World

When there’s a new menu at a Disney World restaurant, you can count on us to grab our wallets, pack our appetites, and prepare to dig into all the new things on the menu.

Narcoossee’s

After a lengthy refurbishment, Narcoossee’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort reopened on April 20th with a brand new ocean-inspired menu. While we tried SEVERAL delicious things on the menu, we did, of course, have some favorites!

Everything at Narcoossee’s — from the atmosphere to the menu items — is inspired by the sea and coast. It was really hard to choose our favorite menu items because everything we tried was so unique yet delicious — and the coastal atmosphere of the restaurant only added to our experience. But, if we must choose… we’ll jump right into it.

Narcoossee’s

First, we definitely recommend the Ocean-Inspired Charcuterie Board for $28. It comes with Ahi Tuna Pastrami, Charred Octopus, and Lobster Sausage.

Not only is the presentation gorgeous, but it tastes just as good as it looks. The Ahi Tuna Pastrami was tender, had an amazing smoky flavor, and was served on a bed of pickled graps and radishes that added a sweetness to balance out the savory smoky flavor.

The Charred Octopus had an amazing char, was firm and fresh, and once again — the contrast between the Octopus and the sweetness of the beets and tangerines added a complexity that we loved.

The Lobster Sausage was unique, to say the least! It was fresh, tender, juicy, and surprisingly garlicky! It was served over a Harissa sauce and an onion compote that we loved.

As for our favorite entree, the Plancha-seared Scallops and Parisian Gnocchi takes the cake. It’s $52 and served with English Peas, Tasso Ham, and Truffled Meyer Lemon Cream.

The scallops were very simple, but still good and tender. We ordered them medium, but did end up wishing that we had ordered them medium rare so that they would have been more buttery. Overall, though, we have no complaints.

The Parisian Gnocchi, on the other hand, was anything but simple. The gnocchi was nice and doughy without being chewy, and the Truffled Meyer Lemon Cream was delicious! It was very buttery and tasted slightly earthy from the mushrooms, which made for a complex and flavorful base. The freshness of the veggies was an added touch that allowed for some extra brightness to the meal. We’ve said it once and we’ll say it again: we could have made a meal out of just this — it was SO good.
