No One is Talking About This Disney World Restaurant, But They Should Be.

Disney World is home to some world-class dining. When it comes to eating, we DO have our favorites. We talk A LOT about places like Wine Bar George, Homecomin‘, and Le Cellier.

However, did you know that Disney World is also home to TWO Michelin Guide-recognized restaurants? You’re probably not surprised that one of those is Victoria & Albert’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. However, there’s ANOTHER Michelin Guide-recognized restaurant in Disney World that no one ever talks about.

That restaurant is  Toledo — Tapas, Steak & Seafoodlocated at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort in the Gran Destino Tower. The cuisine here is inspired by Spain and includes small plates that are plated in an on-stage tapas kitchen (although larger entrees are available). It even has an extensive wine list with many of its wines coming directly from Spain.

The atmosphere here, though, is also a real winner. Toledo has floor-to-ceiling windows with views of Disney World you might not see anywhere else (especially during fireworks). Inside, you’ll find Spanish-inspired decor, including two REAL olive trees.

View from Toledo

Yes, that view is spectacular, but what really makes Toledo stand out is the food. It’s not easy to get the attention of the Michelin Guide, but the food here is extraordinary enough to have earned that distinction. There are a variety of tapas and starters to choose from, like  Pan con Tomate, made with Crushed Tomato, Garlic, Olive Oil, and Charred Bread.

We can also recommend the Rioja-Braised Chorizo, with Spanish-style Sausage, Rioja Wine, and Onions.

If you’re hungry AND feeling adventurous, though, you can also order the Chef’s Signature Dinner for Two, which offers Flight of Four Pinxto

The Spaniard (aka charcuterie)…

…and the “The Toledo Tapas Bar Dessert.”

The delicious bar!

You can also order entrees like Braised Lamb Shank, Scallops, Sustainable Fish, and more.

If you’re looking for delicious tapas-style dining with a view, we will always recommend this restaurant, which is also perfect for a date night in Disney World. Even better is you can get a signature meal here without a signature price. With tapas running in the $10-12 range and entrees in the $20-$30 range, it’s certainly less expensive to eat here than at Disney World’s OTHER Michelin Guide-recognized restaurant, Victoria & Albert’s.

Inside Toledo

So why is NO one talking about Toledo? Well, it does require a trek to Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, which is rarely on many Disney World visitors’ radars, unless they’re actually staying there. If you’ve never stayed there, it’s likely you may not even be aware of this restaurant.

However, that does mean that it’s much easier to get advance dining reservations here than at many of Disney World’s other signature restaurants, and if you’re all about FINE dining at places recognized for such, you can easily nab that reservation. The food here is worth the travel to the resort and how often can you say you’ve dined at a restaurant recognized by the Florida Michelin Guide without leaving Disney property?

Need to get to Coronado Springs from other parts of Disney World? Well, you have a few options. If you’re at a park or in Disney Springs, you can take a bus directly to Coronado Springs. Otherwise, grab a rideshare like Uber or Lyft to get there quickly. Your tastebuds and stomach can thank us later.
