HOT TAKE 🔥 DOLE Whip from Walmart Might Be…BETTER than from Disney World!

Have you ever taken the last bite of your DOLE Whip at Disney World while secretly wishing that you could just bottle up the treat and all the magic and take it home with you?

Pineapple Dole Whip

Well, now you can! We found out recently that DOLE was planning to launch a store-bought DOLE Whip line in grocery stores that features pineapple, mango, and strawberry flavors. If that sounds like a dream come true to you, it’s about to get even better.

We heard that the DOLE Whips might pop up in the Orlando area first, so we made a grocery run to the Walmart in Kissimmee, Florida, and we found Mango DOLE Whip in the freezer aisle for $7.24! The box contains four 3.6-ounce cups. It goes without saying that this bad boy ended up in our cart. Forget dinner plans — it’s DOLE Whip time.

DOLE Whip time!

The box contains four individually-packaged DOLE Whip cups. The box recommends letting the cups thaw for 5-10 minutes so that the DOLE Whip will be extra creamy.

Back of the DOLE Whip Box

When we took the cups out of the box, we couldn’t help but notice how small and cute they were! Each cup is 110 calories and is dairy-free, so plant-based eaters can enjoy this treat (just like they can with most DOLE Whip flavors in the parks). The ingredients in this grocery store version also seem to be more “real” than the ones used in the parks’ version of DOLE Whip. If you check out the wholesale DOLE Whip mix that Disney uses, you’ll find that the first two ingredients are Sugar and Dextrose. By contrast, the first two ingredients in the kind we found at Walmart are Mango Puree and Organic Coconut Cream (although the Walmart version still contains some sugar).

So…what does it taste like? Does it live up to the DOLE Whips in the parks? Let’s find out.

DOLE Whip time!

WOW. This snack is DELICIOUS. It was so creamy — much creamier than we expected. We’d even say that it’s creamier than the DOLE Whips in the parks. The consistency was similar to coconut cream. Coconut is the second ingredient, so this makes sense! However, it doesn’t have a coconut flavor at all. It tasted like fresh, creamy, blended mango.

This snack is DFB-approved!

We also can’t ignore how great of a deal this is. At the price of $7.24 for four containers, this version seems to be cheaper than the snack in Disney World. (That price for the box puts each cup at $1.81.) Although you get more in each serving in the park, a single serving of DOLE Whip at Aloha Isle in Magic Kingdom costs $5.99.

We definitely recommend this to anyone who loves fruit — especially mango — and enjoys the super creamy texture. The fruit taste isn’t as sharp as what you’d get in the parks, but that’s just us being SUPER picky. This snack is truly delicious.

So is the Walmart version actually BETTER than the Disney World version? It seems to be creamier, cheaper, and better for you, but we can’t deny that there’s just something super special about eating a DOLE Whip in Magic Kingdom. So maybe the best move is to pack a few of these containers in a cooler bag to take into the park! That could be an especially handy trick for larger groups or families who don’t want to spend too much on snacks.

Delicious!
