3 Tricks to Getting the BEST View of Happily Ever After Fireworks in Magic Kingdom
Well, it’s official. One of Magic Kingdom’s most POPULAR fireworks shows, Happily Ever After, is back!
Now, we’ve already shown you a video of the updated version of the show, complete with projections on Main Street, U.S.A., and how it interacts with MagicBand+. However, if you’re wanting to see the show for yourself, you might want to know the BEST way to get the BEST view of the show. So we’re going to tell you how.
Dessert Parties
The first way might be the most expensive, but if you make a reservation for a Happily Ever After dessert party or a dining package, you’re going to get a guaranteed spot with a great view of Cinderella Castle for the fireworks.
You have three options for the dessert party, which is basically ALL the sweet treats you can eat:
- Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Parties: Pre-Party (you’ll have dessert first at Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant and then will be escorted to the viewing area in the Plaza Garden in front of the castle — $99 for adults, $59 for children)
- Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Parties: Seats & Sweets (you’ll have dessert at Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant and then view the fireworks from the patio there — $114 for adults, $69 for children)
- Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Parties: Post-Party (you’ll watch the fireworks from Plaza Garden and then have dessert after at Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant — $99 for adults, $59 for children)
During the parties, you can munch on delicious treats like chocolate-dipped strawberries and chocolate silk tarts, a variety of cheeses, and even indulge in some non-alcoholic beverages, or beer and wine.
Are these parties pricey? Yes, but if you love sweets and want to indulge PLUS get a great view of the fireworks, they can be a good option, especially, as we previously mentioned, if you’ve never seen Happily Ever After before.

Stand near the end of Main Street, U.S.A.
A FREE option to get a great view of the Happily Ever After fireworks show is to stand at the end of Main Street, U.S.A. This is a great place to stand if you want to get away from the crowds in front of the castle PLUS you’ll get a good view of the new projections on Main Street, U.S.A.
This is especially a good strategy if you’ve seen Happily Ever After before and you JUST want to check out the new projections or if you just want to get the WHOLE experience of fireworks and projections in one go.
Here’s How the Happily Ever After Fireworks Show Has CHANGED in Magic Kingdom
Grab a spot early
What most Disney World visitors do, though, is stake out a spot for fireworks early — we’re talking HOURS before the show starts. Now that’s a huge TIME suck, but if the fireworks are a priority and you want a good view, this could be your best bet.
You don’t just have to stand around the whole time, though. Mobile Order some food while you’re waiting and send someone in your group to go pick up the food when it’s ready (may we recommend some corn dog nuggets from Casey’s Corner nearby. Then you can have a little Disney World picnic while you’re waiting for what could be the greatest show on Earth.
Here’s everything you need to know about Mobile Order
So if you’re planning on checking out Happily Ever After, we hope we’ve given you some good options to get the best viewing spot you can for the show. Of course, if you’ve seen it before, or if you’re averse to crowds, you might prefer to hop on a ride during this time because lines tend to be short. Bonus? If it’s an outdoor ride like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, you can watch the fireworks WHILE riding and that’s a magical experience all by itself.
