As the rest of the country celebrates March Madness, we invented COOKIE Madness, which is where we pit sixteen cookies from Gideon’s Bakehouse (one of our favorite treat spots in all of Disney World) against each other in a search for the single winner. You all voted on Instagram for which cookies would move on and which would be eliminated, and now we have an official WINNER!

Gideon’s Bakehouse is a bakery in Disney Springs that’s known for almost-half-pound cookies, giant slices of cake, and unique cold brew flavors. We’ve long been big fans of this spot, which introduces unique, limited-time flavors every single month. We’ve rarely met a cookie we didn’t love here!

As much as we love all the cookies we’ve tried here, we’ve been left with one burning question: which cookie is truly the BEST? That’s where you come in.

We asked our DFB readers to vote on Instagram in a bracket-style competition where we compared sixteen cookies from this bakery. The first round knocked featured a few upsets, we pushed on through the second round, and the third round had some shocking results! But now it’s official: we have a winner.

As voted by the DFB readers, the official BEST cookie at Gideon’s Bakehouse is none other than the Original Chocolate Chip! It went up against the Peanut Butter Chocolate Swirl and won by a landslide, with 73% of the votes.

This cookie definitely deserves the title — according to Gideon’s Bakehouse, it took the owner about 15 YEARS to develop the perfect recipe to create the iconic cookie we know and love today.
