Reopening DATE Announced for Typhoon Lagoon in Disney World

When you visit Disney World, do you go to its water parks?

Disney World has TWO water parks, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. Blizzard Beach recently reopened after a refurbishment with some new Frozen-themed areas. Typhoon Lagoon has recently been closed for a refurbishment, but we now know that it will reopen again SOON — with NEW FOOD! Now, that is something to get excited about.

Drum roll, please…Typhoon Lagoon will reopen on March 19th! We had a feeling it would reopen soon, given Disney World did previously say it would reopen this spring, but we had no idea it would be THIS soon.

But wait because there’s even BIGGER news. When Typhoon Lagoon reopens, there will be NEW FOOD at the water park. There will be some new snacks available, including the Pineapple Upside Down Cone at Happy Landings and a Barbecue Chicken and Grilled Pineapple Flatbread at Leaning Palms.

Guests will also be able to get an exclusive Typhoon Tilly Sipper as a refillable fountain drink offering — but only for a limited time. There will also be a new boozy DOLE Whip drink available, the Kungaloosh Kooler, a Strawberry DOLE Whip swirled with a mixture of rum, orange juice, and blackberry brandy floated with Strawberry Fanta.

For us fans of the Hei Hei Cone made with DOLE Whip Pineapple and Raspberry, you’ll be able to get it from the Snack Shack. This makes us VERY happy!

Typhoon Lagoon is also bringing back its after hours event, the H20 Glow After Party on the following dates:

• May 20th and 27th
• June 3rd, 10th, 17th, and 24th
• July 1st, 3rd, 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th, and 31st
• August 5th, 12th, 19th, and 26th
• September 2nd

H2O Glow Nights at Typhoon Lagoon

This is a special ticketed event held from 8PM to 11PM, although guests with a ticket can get into the park at 6PM. Tickets for H20 Nights go on sale tomorrow, March 3rd for $75 per adult and $70 per child (ages 3 to 9). Annual Passholders and DVC Members can buy tickets for $59 per adult and $54 per child.

The H20 Glow After Hours party includes special snacks, fun entertainment, character meet and greets, and access to all park attractions with shorter lines.
