Annual Passholders: ACT FAST to Register for a Preview of TRON Lightcycle / Run in Disney World
Annual Passholders: it’s time to ACT FAST!
Though TRON Lightcycle / Run won’t officially open in Disney World until April 4th, 2023, select groups can access the ride EARLY. We’ve already seen previews announced for Cast Members, Disney Vacation Club Members, and D23 Gold Members. But now we’ve got an update on the preview for Disney World Annual Passholders!
On February 16th, the registration link for TRON Lightcycle / Run Annual Passholder previews went LIVE early in the morning. You can click HERE to get started on the registration process.
By around 9:02AM one of our team members who is an Annual Passholder finally obtained an email with the registration link, though others were still awaiting their message from Disney. Some did not receive the email from Disney with the registration link until quite a bit later.
The registration link took us to a page with a virtual queue and an estimated wait. Though some team members had much shorter waits (around 9 minutes), others got wait times that were significantly longer (50 minutes or more). For some, those longer wait times suddenly dropped to 30 minutes or 26 minutes. But even those lower wait times fluctuated and sometimes increased, so the key here is to have patience.
Once one of our team members got through the virtual queue wait, they were met with registration information…
…and event information.
They were able to verify their guests…
…and then select their date. It appears previews will be available on March 4th-6th, and March 8th-10th.
The email from Disney sent to Passholders indicates that sneak peeks will take place on select dates, space is limited, and block-out dates DO apply. if you make a preview registration for a date that is a blockout date for you, the preview will be automatically canceled. So be sure to check that blockout calendar BEFORE registering.
Disney has noted, however, that Passholders will NOT need to make a separate Park Pass reservation to enter Magic Kingdom Park on the day of their preview.
Here are a few other things to keep in mind:
- Advance registration is required.
- There is a limit of 1 preview registration per Passholder.
- Capacity and space are limited and subject to availability.
- Registrations are valid only during specific preview dates and hours.
- A valid Walt Disney World Resort Annual Pass and photo ID will be required at preview check-in.
- Preview registration and entry are nontransferable and void if sold or otherwise transferred.
If you’re an Annual Passholder, be sure to act QUICKLY to get that preview registration as we expect spots could fill up quickly!
We’ll continue to keep an eye out for more details and share those with you.
