6 Things You Need to Know About Disney World in November
It’s November, and there’s a LOT going on in Disney World this month!
Between holiday celebrations, EPCOT festivals, new merchandise, and a BUNCH of new snacks…there are SO many things to see and do in the next few weeks. But what are the big ones? We’re breaking down the things you need to know about Disney World in November!
The Holiday Season Starts!
Let’s talk about the biggie — the holiday season starts in the parks and resorts! We’ve already seen holiday merchandise in Magic Kingdom, and decorations are being added to the theme parks each day with wreaths, lights, garlands, and massive Christmas trees.
The resorts will follow soon, with their own perfectly-themed decor. Some will even get intricate gingerbread displays, like the carousel at Disney’s Beach Club Resort or the fancy cottage at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. We’re expecting lots of seasonal treats this year as well, so be prepared to get hit with some holly jolly festivities all around!

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Begins
Along with the holiday season, we’ve got the kickoff of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom! This hard-ticketed event is returning for the first time since 2019, and it’s starting on November 8th, running select nights throughout November and December.
You can buy tickets currently online, but dates are selling out FAST. There will be special entertainment, unique snacks, ride overlays, character meets, and more! We’ll be there on night one to report on all the happenings, so make sure to check it out.

The EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival Continues
The OTHER reason that it’s the most wonderful time of the year? Yeah, that’s the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival! The festival has been going strong since July, and now we’ve entered its final month for 2022.
The festivities wrap up on November 19th, so make sure to visit your favorite booths and try all the eats on your list before then. Until it ends, you can still enjoy the dozens of food booths, exclusive merchandise, and the awesome entertainment of the Eat to the Beat Concert Series.

The EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays Starts
Shortly after the Food & Wine Festival ends, EPCOT goes into full holiday mode with the next big festival. On November 25th, the Festival of the Holidays starts, and we’ll get all new food booths, entertainment options, and merchandise.
Some of the highlights of the festival include the holiday storytellers in the various World Showcase pavilions, the Holiday Cookie Stroll, and the Candlelight Processional each night in the America Gardens Theatre. We’ll be there on opening day to try ALL the eats and share our honest reviews, so stay tuned!

The OTHER Disney World Festival
If you’re not visiting a park this month, but you still want to get the festival experience, you can instead hop on over to the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels where the Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic will be held. This two-day food festival event takes place on November 11th and 12th.
To participate, you purchase a ticket to the causeway, and then you’ll be able to enjoy unlimited food and beverage samplings from the Swan, Dolphin, and Swan Reserve’s best restaurants. It’s a great night out if you’re looking for an excuse to try a bunch of eats from those hotels at once!

Blizzard Beach is Reopening
If you’ve been missing Disney World’s “chilliest” water park, then you’re in luck — Blizzard Beach is reopening on November 13th after a long refurbishment! And as an added bonus, some touches from Frozen have been added in with the park’s theming during the closure.
But on the same day that Blizzard Beach reopens, Typhoon Lagoon will close temporarily for a refurbishment. Since the pandemic, Disney World has only kept one water park open at a time, and it seems that pattern will continue for now.

Fantasmic! FINALLY Returns
The day is here! We’ve long awaited the return of Fantasmic! in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the popular nighttime spectacular beloved by many…and it reopens November 3rd, 2022!
The show has been updated with some new scenes and technology, and it’s a can’t-miss when you’re visiting that park. Mickey Mouse himself stars in it while he battles Disney villains, and there are water projections, pyrotechnics, and some truly iconic scenes.

Those are all the major things happening in Disney World in November, but stay tuned throughout the month for updates on each of these events and all the other offerings coming soon to the parks! We’ve got a lot to look forward to this holiday season.
