PHOTOS & VIDEOS: A Unique and Immersive Experience Is Returning to Disney Springs!

Disney World — it’s all about the rides, the shows, the merchandise, and the characters right? WRONG! 🛑 While Disney is full of all of the great things we just mentioned, it’s also home to SO. MUCH. MORE.

Disney World could become your foodie paradise with once-in-a-lifetime dining experiences. Or you could use your trip to swim with dolphins, get a behind-the-scenes look at certain GIANT animals, or even learn some archery! If you’re a fan of sweet treats, we’ve got some good news about a unique experience you won’t want to miss!

The Cake Decorating Experience is finally coming BACK to Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs! If you’re unfamiliar with it, this is a special experience that allows you to decorate your own little delicious masterpiece — typically a Mickey Dome Cake (though sometimes another cake is chosen) — under the careful supervision of a chef from Amorette’s!

The experience is set to return in November of 2022, though no exact date was shared with us yet. The exact date will be shared in the future so guests can know when they’ll be able to book online. We’ll keep an eye out for that and tell you all the information you need to know once it’s released!

We Get to Decorate a Cake To Make It Look Like THIS!

We were invited by Disney and Amorette’s to a media preview of the return of this experience. Curious to know how much this costs and what it includes? Well, sit back, relax, and join us on this cake-decorating adventure!

We started by learning all about our teacher and their dessert experience.

The Cake Decorating Experience isn’t a show though — it’s a truly interactive, hands-on experience that puts YOU and your cake at the center of the action. So after learning a bit about our teacher, it was time to get started!

Our cake started out as just a little white dome, but it would soon become much more!

At the table, you’ll find all the tools you’ll need to make this masterpiece…

…including some accessories!

These also start out in a plain color, but you’ll get to paint them to be just right for Mickey’s classic look.

First, we poured the red base on our cake. It’s already looking SO good!

Then it was time to do some painting!

The ears got a black color, as did the little tail piece. And we got to paint those two ovals yellow.

Then it was time to do some assembling.

Ears? Check!

And after just a few more steps…we had a little Mickey cake of our very own!

SO FUN!

In the end, you might even get to see your cake in the display case as it stays cool.

In terms of price, the Cake Decorating Experience will set you back $199 per table — each table can have 2 guests (so you and friend/family member could share that cost).

The $199 cost includes all-you-care-to-enjoy beverages plus 1 cake. You can add on an additional cake for $50. It is limited to guests ages 5 and up, so just keep that in mind.

Remember you do get to take that cake home, so this could be a great way to celebrate a birthday AND get a birthday cake all at the same time!

All in all, this is a really unique experience that we have thoroughly enjoyed in the past and we really enjoyed it once again!

It is pricey at $199, but if you split that cost with another family member or friend, and factor in the cost of the drinks and cake, it might be worth it for you. If you’ll be celebrating a birthday, anniversary, engagement, or another special occasion, it could be a fun way to add a unique experience to your trip.
