NEWS: PRICE INCREASES Hit Disneyland Tickets

There’s no denying it — Disney is EXPENSIVE!

Between booking your hotel stay, choosing where to eat on your trip, and oh yeah — park tickets — there are so many little things that can really add up. And it certainly doesn’t help when Disney decides to raise prices, either. Unfortunately, it looks like today is one of those days because going to Disneyland Resort is now going to cost you MORE!

We’ve already seen price increases hit certain Disney World experiences like building lightsabers and special PhotoPass shoots, and in Disneyland, the price of Genie+ just went up, too. But, yet ANOTHER part of your trip just got more expensive, as Disneyland ticket prices just went up.

So far, it looks like ticket prices have increased by an average of about 8-9% across the board depending on the date of your planned visit — though the base ticket price still appears to be $104. Previously, Disneyland 1-day tickets started at $104, and if you want a Park Hopper ticket, you were looking at an additional $60 per ticket. Now, the Park Hopper add-on will cost $65 per ticket for one day.

Keep in mind that ticket prices vary depending on the date and time of year thanks to Disneyland’s tiered pricing system, so you often see prices higher than $104. During a peak visiting time like the holidays, tickets can cost you more — and now, it looks like some of the most coveted park days coming up can cost as much as $179 for one day and one park! The biggest increase came to 2-day tickets, which jumped from $255 to $285 on select days.

But, not all hope is lost as there are still tickets priced at $104 during less busy times of the year like January. Keep these price increases in mind if you’re planning a trip to Disneyland Resort soon, and remember that certain days will cost you more if Disney anticipates high demand for a particular day, so try to be flexible and plan your visit during off-peak times — it can save you money in the long run!
