We Could Eat This Disney World Dessert All Day

It’s time for Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month in Disney World!

Hispanic Latinx Heritage Month

From September 15th through October 15th, Disney is celebrating with new and returning flavors that celebrate Hispanic and Latin American cultures and we’re trying as many of these limited-time offerings as we can! We stopped by Disney’s Hollywood Studios to try a unique new treat so come along with us to find out if we liked it!

Now available at Rosie’s All-American Café in Hollywood Studios is the new Tres Leches, which is a tres leches cake served with whipped cream, a fresh strawberry, strawberry candy rocks, and a white chocolate coin for $5.49.

Rosie’s All American Tres Leches

We ordered it and were immediately a little bummed to see that ours didn’t come with a fresh strawberry like it said in the description! It was most likely just a fluke, as we were the very first people to order this dessert the day we tried it. However, our brief disappointment was almost immediately remedied by how truly delicious this dessert was.

The cake itself is moist without being mushy and still holds its structural integrity despite all the whipped cream. Speaking of which, the whipped cream was incredibly fresh and didn’t melt right away like we sometimes see in the Florida heat. The strawberry candy rocks added a crunchy texture that was much appreciated, though they were a bit on the sour side which was interesting.

The tres leches cake would make a great sweet breakfast or dessert at any time, but it was pretty sweet so if that’s not your preferred kind of dessert, you may want to skip this one. It was incredibly light and fresh though, and we didn’t feel weighed down by it. If you’re looking for a bigger dessert or one you can share — this might not be it!

We’ll take twenty

Tres Leches will be available from September 15th to November 15th and if you’re interested in trying more flavors in Hollywood Studios in honor of Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month, the new Michelada drink will be available at BaseLine Taphouse. This Mexican drink is made with beer, lime juice, assorted sauces, spices, and chili peppers served in a chilled, salt-rimmed glass.
