How the RICH Do Disney
We’re not going to lie to you — a Disney World or Disneyland Resort vacation can be PRICEY.
We’re talking hotel rooms (at least deluxe ones) that can cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars a night, tickets that cost more than $100 per day, and meals that are generally a bit more expensive than the ones you find in the outside world. Unfortunately, that typically means that we have to save up to go on a Disney trip…but what about those with unlimited budgets? Well, today we’re talking about how the RICH do Disney!
Take a VIP Tour
Let’s start with the thing that many Disney fans DREAM of doing — a VIP Tour! This is the ultimate backstage experience in the Disney Parks, and it’s out of the question for many guests because of the high price tag. What’s the cost? Well, you’ll be paying at least $425 an hour (and that’s during the off-season!) to enjoy this offering, and you have to book it for a minimum of 7 hours. That means the MINIMUM cost for this tour is $2975…and it just goes up from there.
BUT, if you can afford this luxurious day, you’ll be chauffeured around Disney property in your own private transportation, get Lightning Lane access to a variety of rides, and you’ll travel through backstage areas to get places even faster than the typical guest. Not only that, but you’ll get a tour guide to accompany you throughout the day and you’ll get to customize your experience to your liking. It’s the Disney Parks but in the fanciest way!

Dine Like Royalty
But what about food? Well, there are plenty of ways to enjoy a high-dollar meal in both Disney World and Disneyland Resort. At Disney World, the pinnacle of fine dining is Victoria & Albert’s at the Grand Floridian Resort. Here, you’ll enjoy a 7-course tasting menu that costs $295 PER guest.
Victoria & Albert’s is the only restaurant in Disney World that has a AAA five-diamond rating, so it’s a great option for a particularly special occasion, or if you’re feeling like you just want to splurge. You could add wine pairings to your meal for an additional $150, or you could even dine at the Chef’s Table where you’ll eat 11 courses for $425.
You can read our latest review of the experience here.
Over at Disneyland, the premier dining experience is found at 21 Royal, located right above the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. It’s a whopping $15,000 experience for up to 12 guests and includes valet parking at the Grand Californian, park hopper tickets, wine and cocktail pairings, an awesome view of Fantasmic, and 3 personal butlers for the evening. Talk about the WOW factor!
But if you’re not wanting to spend quite that much, you can take things down a notch and try the signature dining offered at several Disney parks and resorts.

Stay in the Swankiest Rooms
We’ve talked about the top-tier Disney hotel rooms in the past, and let’s just say that some of them are straight-up BOUJEE. For instance, select hotels are home to Presidential Suites, which are made to be some of the fanciest accommodations. The Presidential Suite at Disney’s Contemporary Resort ranges from $1,900-$2,800 PER NIGHT. The cheapest one is found at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, where the nightly price starts at $1,250.
If you’re staying at a Disney Vacation Club Resort, you could try booking one of the 3-bedroom Grand Villas, which are similar in price to the Presidential Suites. These rooms are MASSIVE, built with entire living spaces and separate rooms for a large group of guests to stay all together.
But of course, the ultimate “hotel room” in Disney World is the Cinderella Castle Dream Suite. Unfortunately, this room can’t be purchased for a stay, you’ll either need to win a contest or be invited. Now THAT’S celebrity status!

Rent Out the Parks
The Disney Meetings and Events Website allows those who are wanting to plan corporate, association, or social events to rent out sections of the Disney World parks. And, in some cases, you can even rent out the ENTIRE park for your company’s after-hours event. Talk about the VIP treatment!
These prices vary depending on location, but the price to rent Magic Kingdom out for 3 hours is starts at $180,000! And that’s with limited experiences available. (As in, the entire park won’t be open.) You can also rent out sections of the other parks or other spaces around Disney World, such as the Atlantic Dance Hall on Disney’s BoardWalk.
And while we’re on the subject, don’t forget about the extravagant cost of Disney Weddings! They have a variety of venues inside and outside of the parks, each with its own hefty price tag.

Expensive Shopping Sprees
And no ultra-pricey trip would be complete without a big shopping spree! If you’re looking to spend the big bucks, some of the Disney World 50th Anniversary merchandise in the Luxe Logo collection was hundreds of dollars (or even $1000) per item. We’ve also seen incredible crystal souvenirs in the art shops around the parks, including that $37,500+ crystal model of Cinderella Castle.
On top of that, luxury brands and celebrities like to collaborate with Disney from time to time, which means that we get a lot of limited-edition (and very expensive!) items in the theme parks. If you want to spend the money on Disney-themed designer collectibles, you’ll definitely get the chance to!
So whether you’re rich or you’re just feeling a little fancier than usual, those are some of the most expensive and over-the-top things that you can do at Disney World and Disneyland Resort! Stay tuned to DFB for more updates and planning tips for the Disney Parks!
