Disney, We Can’t Tell If This Cupcake Was a Win…Or a Fail
New treats in Disney are coming out all the time, and we’re here to give you the lowdown on all of them!
Just in the last 2 days, we’ve seen some treats that we really loved, and some that we maybe wouldn’t advise you to spend your hard-earned money on. A new treat we just came across at Disney’s All-Stars Sports Resort will be a great allergy-friendly option for some people, but for many others, it honestly may be a bit of a flop.
Introducing you to the Black and White Cupcake at End Zone Food Court at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort.
Did you know that there’s a plant-based, allergy-friendly cupcake at Disney’s All-Star Resorts?!

This is a chocolate cupcake with vanilla “buttercream” and chocolate shavings for $5.29. The cupcake is a plant-based and allergy-friendly cupcake, which makes it a great option for those who can’t eat Disney’s typical cupcakes!
However, the texture of the cupcake itself is very dense and dry, and you may need a knife and fork to eat it! According to our reporter (who is a plant-based eater), it has the consistency of a “flourless torte.” The cupcake is made with rice flour in order to be allergy-friendly, which may account for this odd texture.
HOWEVER, we thought the “buttercream” was incredible and actually saves this treat! It’s better than most vegan buttercreams we’ve tried, and that element alone makes this treat miles better than many other vegan treats around Walt Disney World.
All in all, we think people who are looking for a vegan, allergy-friendly cupcake will really enjoy this treat! But guests who are not interested in ingredient-adjusted treats may not be a fan of the cupcake’s texture and should probably stick to the many, many cupcakes around Disney World that are made with typical cupcake ingredients.
We first heard about this new cupcake last month, when we reported on ALL the big menu changes coming to Disney World’s Value resort. So keep following DFB, because we’ll let you know about all the upcoming treats and bring you reviews once they hit the parks!
