A FULL List of NEW Restaurants Announced for Disney World
Deciding on where to eat in Disney World is about to become much, much more difficult.
With so many incredible dining locations throughout the property, it can be hard to choose exactly where you want to eat. From old favorites like ‘Ohana and California Grill to newcomers like Connections Eatery and Space 220, we’re often faced with the most difficult — yet delicious — decisions. Disney recently announced a brand new restaurant would be coming to Disney Springs in 2023, but that’s not the only new eatery on the horizon. We’re taking you through ALL the NEW restaurants that have been announced for Disney World!
When it comes to dining around Disney World, there’s something for just about everyone. Craving Mexican cuisine? There’s a pavilion in EPCOT for that. Want to dine with characters? You can do that too. But there are some NEW dining experiences coming to Disney World that we’re pretty excited about, so let’s dig in!
Summer House on the Lake
Disney just announced that Summer House on the Lake from lettuce entertain you management will be coming to Disney Springs in 2023. This will be a similar concept to the group’s already existing Summer House Santa Monica, which currently has locations in Chicago and North Bethesda.
Summer House is known for dishing out pizzas, pasta, sandwiches and more. Not only that, but the existing restaurants offer a weekend brunch and host private parties as well. The group behind Summer House is also the group originally behind Beatrix, a dining location previously announced for Disney Springs that has yet to come to fruition.
We’ll continue to keep an eye out for any more news about Summer House on the Lake or Beatrix!

Roundup Rodeo BBQ
If it feels like you’ve been waiting years for this restaurant to open, that’s because you have. Originally set to open in 2020, Roundup Rodeo BBQ construction hit a bit of a speed bump when the global pandemic shut down the parks.
Luckily, Disney announced that Roundup Rodeo BBQ would be opening up later this year! This family-friendly dining experience will serve barbecue (as the name implies) in a playset-inspired Western town. The idea is that guests have been shrunken down into toys in Andy’s backyard!

The Cake Bake Shop
The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers will be coming to Disney’s BoardWalk in 2023, and will serve more than just cakes. The table service restaurant is expected to also have savory items, and in the afternoons guests can enjoy a spot of tea.
According to The Cake Bake Shop’s website, the restaurant will feature “a whimsical atmosphere that complements the magic of the idyllic charm of Disney’s BoardWalk that guests know and love.” We’re personally waiting on the edge of our seats. We had the opportunity to interview the owner of The Cake Bake Shop and got some exclusive and insider details on the new location. Read the interview here!
Construction is yet to commence on The Cake Bake Shop, so stay tuned for updates.

BoardWalk Bakery and Lobby Coffee Bar
When Disney announced that The Cake Bake Shop would be coming to the BoardWalk, they also let us in on the fact that the BoardWalk Bakery would be getting an overhaul as well. Although not much has been shared, we do know that the dining location will become a sandwich shop.
In the lobby of Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, not only will you soon see new renovations, you’ll also be greeted by a new coffee bar! Much like the BoardWalk sandwich shop, Disney hasn’t shared much about the new spot but did mention we can expect ““artisanal beverages and quick bites…in newly refreshed seating spaces inside or outdoors.”
Sounds like the BoardWalk will soon enough be full of new life — we’ll keep an eye out for updates.

Disney has also announced that the Polynesian Village Resort will be getting additional dining locations in 2024 as part of the hotel’s massive expansion. Brand new structures will be constructed that will house new Disney Vacation Club Villas along with retail locations and dining options.
Unfortunately, that’s about all that Disney has shared in terms of details about what we can expect from the new dining options at the Polynesian. Construction has begun, though, so hopefully we will get some updates soon!

If you’re looking for somewhere to eat in Disney World on your upcoming trip, it can be overwhelming just trying to pick. Some of our favorites are Skipper Canteen in Magic Kingdom, Regal Eagle in EPCOT, and Satu’li Canteen in Animal Kingdom.
