PHOTOS: This Room in Disney World Can Be Over $700 a Night. Go Inside With Us!
What if we told you that you could go in a room at one of Disney World’s fanciest hotels without spending a dime? Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is a Deluxe hotel and is also one of the original hotels at Disney World.
It’s home to some excellent dining, beautiful views, and a lovely spa (that just reopened, BTW!). You can also walk from the hotel right to Magic Kingdom! The Grand Floridian is one of Disney World’s most iconic hotels, so if you’ve ever wanted to see the inside of the guest rooms, you’re in luck, cause we’re here to give you a FULL room tour!
First, let’s kick things off by quickly showing you some of the hotel. The grounds are beautiful, with fun pools…
…and even a view of Seven Seas Lagoon!
The hotel is known for being very fancy — the lobby alone can make you feel like royalty.
There are several restaurants here, like Citricos and the Grand Floridian Cafe. It’s also where you can find the most exclusive (and expensive) restaurant on property — Victoria & Albert’s. But, we’re still waiting for the AAA Five Diamond Award winning spot to reopen right now.
There is also a relatively new bar in the Grand Floridian called the Enchanted Rose. It’s themed to Beauty & the Beast with 4 different rooms for you to enjoy.
Okay, now that we’ve seen some of the hotel, let’s go inside a guest room! We stayed in an Outer Building Garden View Room which can sleep up to 5 adults and has a view of either the courtyard, marina, or pool areas. Here’s a look at the entrance to the room.
You’ll find the light switches right next to the front door on your left when you walk in.
Then, on your right, you’ll see the closet!
Inside here you can find the safe and a hairdryer…
…bathrobes…
…an extra pillow/blanket…
…hangers…
…an iron…
…and an ironing board and a luggage rack.
Look up, and you’ll see a beautiful light fixture.
Then, over on your left is the bathroom! There is a bathroom counter with double sinks…
…as well as your standard tissues…
…hand towel…
…and a magnifying mirror.
You will also find an array of Disney Resorts H2O+ bath products like mouthwash, shampoo, and body wash.
Behind you, there is a hamper as well as more towels on the towel racks.
And, if you look up, you’ll see some Alice in Wonderland artwork!
The toilet and shower area have a separate door to them that includes a full body mirror on the outside (which is vital in a hotel room!).
Above the toilet, you will see another towel rack with extra towels, washcloths, and toilet paper.
The shower has a bathtub in it as well, and even more H2O+ products.
And, here’s a look at the showerhead.
Now, let’s finally move into the actual room! Here it is, folks!
Our room had two queen beds in it with white linens and padded headboards.
Over both beds, you’ll see two small lamps.
In between the two beds, you can find a nightstand that will have the phone on it as well as the remote.
And next to the bed near the wall, there is some nice artwork of some swans swimming in front of the hotel.
Next to the picture is where you can find the thermostat.
Across from the beds is the TV…
…as well as a dresser.
This dresser also holds the mini-fridge!
There’s a decent amount of space in there for some leftovers.
There are also drawers on either side of the fridge with more storage.
The trash and recycling bins are on the right of the dresser.
And, this is where you’ll find the door to the adjoining room, if you need it.
On top of the dresser, you’ll see information about Disney’s enhanced cleaning protocols.
You can also find a room service menu here…
…and a guide to Disney World.
You may be wondering, “how does this room sleep 5 people?” Well, that’s where the sofa comes in!
This sofa actually converts into a bed by folding down the back of it.
If you need help, there are some instructions under the TV.
Above the sofa, you can find more lighting and a small mirror, along with a light switch.
Over across from the sofa and next to the beds is a small desk area.
This is where you will find the Keurig and some coffee…
…along with the ice bucket and some coffee cups.
And, there’s a mirror above the desk if you need extra space to get ready besides the bathroom.
This room has some lovely curtains to go along with the theming of the hotel. These are great for blocking out the light so you can sleep in!
There is also a sheer curtain you can use if you want to let light in but still want some privacy.
The glass doors lead out to the balcony — let’s check it out!
This is a pretty spacious balcony…
…with two metal chairs and a small table.
You can see our view of the marina from here!
Here’s a better look at the view from this room.
And there you have it! That’s a full look at a room at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.
We hope you enjoyed this tour and it helped you decide if this is the right resort for your vacation. Stay tuned to DFB for more Disney World news and updates!
