All the Disney+ Discounts that Exist Right Now

Gone are the days of VHS collections with all your favorite Disney movies stacked up next to the bulky TV. If you do still have a VHS player, hang on to that guy, because they’re getting very difficult to find. (And also can we come over to watch our Disney tapes on your player? Thanks.)

If you’re looking to watch a Disney movie nowadays, you’re probably thinking of Disney+, the streaming service that has all kinds of TV shows and movies from Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, and more. Let’s take a look at all the ways you can save money on a Disney+ subscription so that you’ll have access to all of your favorite Disney classics (you know…in case that VHS player doesn’t work out).

There are several ways to save on a Disney+ subscription, whether that be through bundling it with other streaming services, going with the ad version instead of ad-free, or finding offers through other companies that have deals on the service.

Let’s take a look at all of the current options so that you can find the one that works best for you.

Buy the Annual Subscription Instead of Monthly

As a reminder, the basic Disney+ subscription (no Hulu or ESPN+) is $7.99 a month or $79.99 a year. So the first option to save is to buy the annual subscription instead of the monthly option.

Buy the annual version instead of monthly!

If you’re going to use Disney+ for a full year, you can save $15.98 by purchasing a year of streaming up front instead of paying the monthly fee.

Bundle with Other Streaming Services

Many people use multiple streaming services in order to get access to a wider variety of movies and shows. Disney+ offers a bundle with Hulu and ESPN+, which costs $19.99 a month for ad-free Hulu or $13.99 a month for Hulu with ads.

If you’ll use all of those streaming services, you can save by bundling with Disney+ instead of buying all three of them separately. Here’s a breakdown of the cost:

  • Disney+: $7.99/month
  • Hulu (with ads): $6.99/month
  • Hulu (no ads): $12.99/month
  • ESPN+: $6.99/month

So with the ads version of Hulu, buying the streaming services separately would cost $21.97. Buying the Disney+ bundle with Hulu (with ads) is $13.99, so you’ll save $7.98 a month.

The no-ads version of Hulu brings the total cost of all three streaming services up to $27.97. The Disney+ bundle with Hulu (no ads) is $19.99, so you’ll still save $7.98 a month by bundling them all together.

Go for the Ads Version

If you are going to bundle Disney+ with Hulu and ESPN+, you can save a little more money by choosing the ads version of Hulu. (Note that Disney+ does not have ads.)

The Disney+ bundle with Hulu (no ads) is $19.99 a month, but the version that includes Hulu (with ads) is $13.99 a month. So you can save $6 a month by watching a few commercials during your shows and movies.

Take Advantage of Verizon’s Disney Bundle Deal

Right now, Verizon is offering 6 months of the Disney+ bundle (Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+) for free if you buy certain unlimited plans.

If you already have Verizon, you can upgrade to an unlimited plan to get the Disney+ bundle added to your plan for free for 6 months.

And if you already have Verizon unlimited, you can just add the Disney+ bundle to your plan for free for 6 months as well!

Other Third-Party Discounts

There are a few more discounts available through other companies. The first one is through O2, which is a telecommunications company in the UK and Germany that’s owned by Virgin Media. If you buy a new account with O2 or upgrade your existing plan, you’ll get up to 6 months of Disney+ for free.

You can also just add Disney+ as an extra to an existing plan (without upgrading) for £7.99 a month, and O2 will take £2 off your total bill each month. So really that’s like getting Disney+ for £5.99 instead!

Tesco also still has their Clubcard Deal, which means that Clubcard members can exchange £8 of clubcard vouchers for 3 months of Disney+.

Since Disney+ is £7.99 in the UK, that’s like getting 2 months of Disney+ for free.

We hope that some of these options can help you get to your favorite Disney movies and shows without paying quite so much! And we will continue to update this post as more/new discounts are announced. Keep following DFB for more of the latest Disney news and tips.
