What’s New in Animal Kingdom: Yellow Snow (?!) and Star Wars Gingerbread Ornaments
Welcome back to Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
We’ve been in the park lately checking out all the new food, holiday decorations, and, of course, KiteTails (we can’t get enough!). We like to keep you updated with what’s going on around the parks, so let’s see what’s new in Animal Kingdom!
Animal Kingdom Food Updates
Flame Tree BBQ
Flame Tree BBQ has its new December cupcake out! It’s a Gingerbread Cake with Cream Cheese filling, topped with Frosting and a cute edible white chocolate polar bear decoration.
Isn’t it just adorable! We felt a little bad taking a bite out of that polar bear. You can get it for $5.99.

Caravan Road
Caravan Road was open over in Asia when we went by! It was pretty busy, and a Cast Member told us they only open when capacity hits a certain point, generally between 11AM and 3PM.
The small food spot currently has shaved ice on the menu, alcoholic and non-alcoholic. We picked up the Mango Passion Fruit Shaved Ice!
In this instance, it’s okay to eat the yellow snow.

Restaurantosaurus
Restaurantosaurus has reopened their deck for seating outside!
So, if you want to take advantage of the mild December weather in Disney World, this is a good spot to hang out and grab a bite.
Animal Kingdom Merchandise Updates
Discovery Trading
We found this new wooden Christmas figurine in Discovery trading! It’s a tree that features different Disney characters and lights up.
And, the cozy collection ears are also available inside! You can get the ears for $29.99.
If you’re looking for some festive bling, check out the new Alex and Ani snow globe bracelet.
There was also a new blue zip up fleece with a Mickey emblem on it!
Here’s a close up of Mickey embroidered on the jacket.
Get it for $64.99.
Island Mercantile
In Island Mercantile, we spotted a new Animal Kingdom 2021 snowflake hoodie!
You can grab it for $49.99.
Windtraders
Over in Pandora, inside Windtraders, there was a new Na’Vi bow toy available for $29.99.
And, what was once a bead making station is now a place where you can get some blue popcorn.
Would you eat blue popcorn?
The Dino Institute
Inside the Dino Institute, we saw new dinosaur car toys!
You can get this green T-Rex for $12.99…
…or the red for $14.99.
These are the kinds of cars you pull back and then they race forward.
Riverside Depot
And, in Riverside Depot, we saw a new red Mickey MagicBand!
It features some of his catch phrases for $29.99!
There is also a new Star Wars ornament set in here featuring different characters and ships as gingerbread cookies for $44.99.
That’s everything new in Animal Kingdom! Stay tuned to DFB for more Disney World parks news and updates.
