These Will Be the HARDEST Reservations to Get in Disney World in 2022
Getting ready for a Disney World vacation can mean a LOT of planning: where to stay, how long to go, and WHERE TO EAT!
Booking your Advance Dining Reservations is SUPER important. There are a LOT of Disney World restaurants that have hard-to-get reservations. To make sure you’re prepared to tackle your upcoming Disney World vacation like a pro, we’re sharing the dining locations that will be the HARDEST to grab a reservation for in 2022!
Remember, guests are able to make a dining reservation at most Disney World restaurants up to 60 days in advance of your meal. Resort hotel guests may make reservations up to 60 days in advance plus the length of their stay up to 10 days.
Old and New Favorites
First of all, let’s talk about a few restaurants that are hard to get into because they are SO popular — the old and new favorites!
Space 220 and Space 220 Lounge
Space 220 is the newest table-service restaurant in EPCOT where guests are taken up to “space” in an interstellar elevator to dine on a multi-course prix fixe menu of modern, upscale dishes. The spot also has an accompanying lounge where guests can try out the lounge eats and selections from the main menu.
The main restaurant has been an extremely hard-to-get reservation since the restaurant opened. Initially, the lounge was walk-up only but as of this month, requires reservations too! You can still join a standby line for the bar, but this high-demand restaurant will likely stay that way into 2022. Make reservations EARLY if you’re hoping to visit Space 220!

Oga’s Cantina
Speaking of space lounges, you’ll likely have trouble snagging a reservation for Oga’s Cantina in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios! You will more than likely be required to have a reservation if you want to experience Oga’s Cantina, although walk-ups are allowed when there is room. In our experience recently though, get that res! This spot is POPULAR.
On top of being popular, this location is teeny tiny. Remember that even with an Advance Dining Reservation, you may be limited to Standing Room. Oga’s Cantina is full of standing tables and only a couple of booths with VERY limited seating spaced out around the bar.

Be Our Guest
In Magic Kingdom, you’ll find the immensely popular Be Our Guest restaurant where you can dine inside Beast’s castle from Beauty and the Beast. This spot has been beloved since it opened and reservations have only gotten harder to get.
The spot used to have a quick-service option to help alleviate demand but has ONLY been table-service by reservation since reopening. Reservations are almost ALWAYS booked up and we don’t expect that to change heading into next year!

Le Cellier
For many years, Le Cellier was one of the toughest reservations to grab in not only EPCOT, but across Disney World. This top-notch steakhouse is another smaller spot, like Oga’s Cantina.
Despite the fact that it may not have the most demand in Disney World, it has enough to keep the smaller space filled! This spot might not be your number one priority when it comes to booking, but you should still book early to ensure you get a table!

‘Ohana
‘Ohana is one of the featured dining spots at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and it has a LOT of fans. Between the iconic noodles, delicious potstickers, and the MEATS, this all-you-care-to-enjoy family-style restaurant is a HIT — and a hard-to-get reservation.
Reservations go FAST for this spot. Prior to the 2020 closures, ‘Ohana also offered a character breakfast with Lilo & Stitch, but the offering has yet to return. Still, those beloved eats make this a POPULAR reservation and one you’ll want to make well in advance.

California Grill
Disney’s Contemporary Resort has a top-floor restaurant called California Grill that is an often-booked fine dining experience. The location has a new three-course prix fixe menu in honor of the 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort.
With a new menu that celebrates the “spirit of 1971” and a long-standing positive reputation, you’ll want to make your California Grill reservations AS SOON AS YOU CAN. Even trickier, this spot has great fireworks views, and getting that showtime table can be a challenge!

Character Dining
Character meals are a unique dining experience that lets you dine with some of your favorite Disney characters. Any restaurant that features a character is a hard-to-get reservation typically, but we wanted to point out some of the most difficult!
If you ARE looking for character dining, you can typically find a little more availability at Garden Grill in EPCOT or Tusker House in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. These spots could be good to check if you can’t snag one of the following reservations.
Topolino’s Terrace
Topolino’s Terrace — Flavors of the Riviera is the top-floor restaurant at Disney’s Riviera Resort. This spot is a perfect storm for being a hard-to-get reservation.
It offers a character breakfast, it has AH-MAZ-ING food, and it’s still relatively new! Put them together and what do ya got? One BOOKED-UP restaurant.

Artist Point — Story Book Dining with Snow White
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is home to Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White, a prix-fixe meal where guests can interact with Snow White, Grumpy, Dopey, and the Evil Queen. It’s also the first princess meal to fully return since the closures!
This spot reopens on December 16th and it has been almost IMPOSSIBLE to snag a reservation. Reservations for opening day were GONE in minutes and we haven’t seen much in the way of availability since. DEFINITELY aim for this one as soon as you can book those reservations!

Cinderella’s Royal Table
Cinderella’s Royal Table has a LOT going for it. This restaurant is located IN Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom and typically also features a princess character meal. For the uninitiated, princess meals are typically VERY popular.
Since this restaurant reopened though it has featured a modified experience. The character meal is not currently being offered; instead, Cinderella might stop by for a brief and distanced hello. Still, Cinderella’s Royal Table is a notoriously hard-to-get reservation. You can’t beat it when it comes to location!

Potential Reopenings
And our last section is dedicated to popular restaurants that still remain closed. We’ve seen a surge in reservations when restaurants reopen and these are especially missed ones! If these spots do reopen in 2022, we’re expecting that they will justify their spot on this list of hard-to-get reservations.
Victoria and Albert’s
Victoria and Albert’s is well-known as the most upscale restaurant in all of Disney World. The signature meal is located at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. It’s considered a pinnacle dining experience for MANY a Disney fan and was a hard-to-get reservation BEFORE the closure.
The restaurant has a AAA five-diamond rating and is one of the most critically-acclaimed restaurants in all of Florida. There has yet to be any update about a reopening, so stay tuned to DFB to up your chances of snagging one of those reservations if and when it does reopen!

Jiko…The Cooking Place
Jiko is a bit of an underrated favorite located at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Resort. This spot is delicious and well-known for its romantic atmosphere. The spot is popular, but reservations weren’t IMPOSSIBLE to get prior to the closure.
HOWEVER, with its popular status and the looooong time it’s been closed, Jiko could very well become one of the more hard-to-get reservations if it reopens in 2022!

1900 Park Fare
Yet another Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort restaurant makes this list! 1900 Park Fare is a popular character meal restaurant at this hotel and has been closed since the 2020 closures. A character meal and a long closure? That sounds like a recipe for a hard-to-get reservation!
The breakfast at this spot features characters like Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland, and The Mad Hatter. The dinner option features characters like Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine, and Cinderella’s Stepsisters.

Hoop Dee Doo Revue
And our final hard-to-get reservation is Hoop Dee Doo Revue at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground! This is a dinner show that debuted way back in 1974 and has been SUPER popular ever since. After all, it is a rootin’ tootin’ good time!
With a great show and an all-you-care-to-enjoy meal of fried chicken, ribs, mashed potatoes, and MUCH more; we can’t be the ONLY ones excited to get back to Hoop Dee Doo Revue! If this spot reopens in 2022, we might see reservations book up FAST.

We hope this list can help you prepare to tackle your Disney World Dining Reservations. We recommend you book the dining reservations you want ASAP in order to make sure you’re A) dining at the restaurants you want, and B) at the time of day that you want.
And if you don’t get your desired dining reservations right away, don’t fret! Folks are still changing their vacation plans often and we’ve seen reservations open up all the time! Just be sure to triple-check the restaurant you want to dine at regularly ahead of your vacation to see if or when any reservations become available.
