ALL of the Special PhotoPass Shots Coming for Disney+ Day

Disney+ fans: a big day is coming soon!

On November 12th, 2021, Disney is hosting Disney+ Day. This is a special day celebrating the anniversary of Disney+ and it’s going to be FULL of all kinds of fun for Disney movie fans. So far, we’ve seen a look at what NEW movies and shows will start streaming on Disney+ on November 12th, as well as a special park perk for Disney+ subscribers. But now, there’s even more fun to be had!

If you’re a Disney+ fan and you’ll be in the Disney parks on November 12th, then get ready! First, Disney+ subscribers can enter any of the parks at Walt Disney World resort or Disneyland 30 minutes EARLIER than regular guests on November 12th. 

Also, Disney+ subscribers will get some special perks once they’re in the parks. Specifically, if you like to take fun photos, November 12th will be your day. In Disney World, Disney+ subscribers will get complimentary digital downloads of the PhotoPass photos taken at select locations.

The full list of special photo opportunities was recently shared by Disney World through the My Disney Experience app. Here’s a list of the special PhotoPass opportunities coming on November 12th where Disney+ subscribers will get complimentary digital downloads of their photos:

Magic Kingdom

• Olaf Magic Shot — By the entrance to Tomorrowland, across from Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor
• Peg Leg Pete Magic Shot — Near the gazebo behind Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe
• Donald Duck Magic Shot — Outside the entrance to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, next to the Rivers of America

EPCOT

• Baby Groot Magic Shot — Near the entrance to The Seas With Nemo & Friends
• Huey, Dewey, and Louie Magic Shot — In front of the fountain next to Journey Into Imagination With Figment
• Disney+ Prop — By the back of the Morocco Pavilion

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

• Disney+ Prop — Next to Echo Lake
• Violet and Jack-Jack Magic Shot — In front of The Incredibles backdrop in Animation Courtyard
• Kowakian Monkey-Lizard Magic Shot — Outside of the large archway near the market in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

• Tuk Tuk Magic Shot — On the bridge between Expedition Everest and DinoLand U.S.A.
• Up Magic Shot — Next to Discovery River between Africa and Asia
• Disney+ Prop — Near the waterfall directly beneath the Tree of Life

Note that a Disney+ subscription is required to get the complimentary digital downloads. The My Disney Experience app indicates that guests will have to show a logged-in home screen on the Disney+ app or on a mobile device. One is required per party.

Disney has also shared that some popular characters featured on Disney+ will be joining in on the festivities throughout Hollywood Studios and in the motorcades along Hollywood Boulevard!

In addition, on November 12th, Baby Yoda fans will want to visit the My Disney Experience app. On that day, a new AR lense featuring Baby Yoda will be available in the Disney PhotoPass Lens section. It will be complimentary on November 12th only. After Disney+ Day, this photo lens will only be available for Genie+ purchasers.

Over at Disneyland, Disney+ subscribers can get special photo perks too. On November 12th, Disney+ subscribers and their guests can get complimentary digital PhotoPass Magic Shot downloads at the following spots:

 Disneyland Park

• Grogu — At the entrance to Galaxy’s Edge (entering from Frontierland)
• Stormtroopers and K-2SO — Outside Star Wars Launch Bay (2 magic shots are in this same spot)
• Olaf — At the entrance to the Matterhorn Bobsleds

Disney California Adventure Park

• Jack-Jack and Violet’s Force Field — Pixar Pier Bridge (2 magic shots in 1 spot)
• Ant-Man and The Wasp — At Avengers Campus near the back exit to Cars Land (2 magic shots in 1 spot)

Again, the app notes that proof of a Disney+ subscription is required.

At Disneyland, you’ll also want to keep an eye out for characters featured on Disney+ as they might join in on the festivities at Town Square, Tomorrowland Terrace Stage, Fantasy Faire, and near “it’s a small world” in Disneyland, and at Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure Park.
