Where to Find the Best BREAD in Disney World!

There are a lot of great Table Service meals in Disney World, but what about the things that come before the main course?

Yep, We talkin’ BREAD!

We’ve done our fair share of ranking the Disney World restaurants over the years — ranking them by park and even by condiments. There’s one (usually) free component of the meal though that we seem to look forward to almost more than the meals at times — BREAD! Today we’re talking to all you carb lovers out there and covering the BEST restaurants to eat at if you’re in it for that sweet, sweet bread basket!

We love bread. Let’s get that out of the way right now. Brioche. Pretzel. Sourdough. You name it, we’ll happily slather it in butter and eat it. Many Disney World restaurants offer a complimentary basket of bread to start your meal. Some even have paid options we’re happy to splurge on. So which is the BEST?

BREAD

So first things first, our love of all things carby might not perfectly align with your vision of the ideal bread basket. Either way, we’re giving you our top nine. We wouldn’t lead you astray in the land of bread. Trust us. 🙂 We polled our team for those bread baskets that they loved most and some definite favorites rose to the top. Whip out your butter knife and lets get to it!

9 — Hollywood & Vine

Coming in at number nine for best bread basket in Disney World is Hollywood & Vine at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Here you can find a few different meal options including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but bread fans will want to check this spot out in the morning during the Disney Junior Play ‘n’ Dine breakfast.

Hollywood & Vine

Along with getting to meet characters like Doc Mcstuffins, Fancy Nancy, and Goofy, you’ll also get treated to an a la carte menu. And, like all great breakfasts, it starts off with a pastry basket. This one includes caramel monkey bread, butter croissants, and blueberry muffin and comes with honey butter.

Pastry basket for one, please?

First of all — you had us at honey butter. When Disney gives us a “fancier” condiment for our bread baskets, we’re usually pretty jazzed. Many spots serve up a standard chilled pat of butter that’s…fine. But it could be BETTER. This is better. Plus, we could have eaten 100 pieces of the monkey bread and it still may not have been enough.

Now THAT’S butter!

The croissants were wonderful with the butter as well! So, this is a bread basket that we would definitely eat again (and again).

8 — ‘Ohana

Next up we’re hopping over to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort where ‘Ohana recently reopened! Now, this restaurant was closed for a full year after Disney World reopened and now features a slightly different menu — so you won’t find ‘Ohana’s Signature Pineapple Bread (which was delicious) at dinner anymore. BUT, that doesn’t make the bread service less appealing.

‘Ohana Reopened

The restaurant now serves a family-style meal and it all starts off with ‘Ohana Coconut-Papaya Scones and Cheddar-Bacon Biscuits with Honey Butter. And, if you’re coming to ‘Ohana for all the island and coconut flavors then you’re going to like the scones — there are even coconut flakes on top!

‘Ohana Coconut-Papaya Scones

But don’t fill up on the scones, because the biscuits. OH, the BISCUITS! Cheesy. Bacony. These are definitely not the most tropical bread option but they sure are TASTY.

Cheddar-Bacon Biscuits

Once again, the MVP that is honey butter makes a stellar appearance here. We thought that both the scones and biscuits paired really well with the honey butter (let’s be real, what DOESN’T pair well with honey butter). We probably had a very unbalanced ratio of butter-to-biscuit but we don’t even care.

What a pair!

These bread options were totally unique and we give major props for trying something new. So, it’s certainly no Pineapple Bread or Homecomin’ biscuits, but this bread service is still a crowd-pleaser.

7 — Le Cellier Steakhouse

Le Cellier Steakhouse in EPCOT’s Canada Pavilion may be known for its steak, but we’re giving it a stamp of approval for its bread! And, what could rival steak for the best part of the meal? Pretzel Breadsticks!

Le Cellier

The bread basket here comes out almost as soon as you sit down and, in our experience, is readily replenished throughout the meal. So, once you finish up one basket, out comes another. And, the pretzel breadsticks are seriously good. In fact, they’re SO good, they landed a spot on the EPCOT Food and Wine Canada Booth Menu served alongside their always fabulous Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup! They’re pretty much addicting and, if you’re not careful, you’ll find yourself loading up on these before your meal even comes out!

Bread and butter

You’re actually served three kinds of unique breads here — each chosen to represent different regions of Canada! Cool, eh? Now, the other bread in the basket is good, but this is one of the only Disney World restaurants you’ll find pretzel breadsticks, and they’re delicious. So make sure you’re the fastest one at your table to snag this pretzel bread, or maybe if you ask your Cast Member nicely, they can bring you extra! Oh yeah — and they serve maple butter here. So if you needed one more reason to sway you… . 😉

6 — Sebastian’s Bistro

It may not be pretzel breadsticks, but Sebastian’s Bistro at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is serving up a bread basket that rivals the salty carb sticks!

Sebastian’s Bistro

This spot recently reopened and now serves a family-style meal that kicks off with House-Made Pull-Apart Rolls with Caramelized Onion Jam and Guava Butter.

The rolls!

So the champions here are those condiments. They’re tropical and may sound a little different but we could not stop eating it all! And, there’s not much not to love about this bread — it’s fluffy, buttery, and warm. The whipped guava butter will add some salty sweetness and the onion jam is savory and seriously addictive. Plus, the whole meal costs $29 per adult, $17 per child — so it’s a good deal too!

5 — Tiffins

We’re in the top five restaurants now and, for this one, we’re headed over to Tiffins at Disney’s Animal Kingdom! Here you’ll find a signature dining experience and the food isn’t the only standout — there are also tons of unique decorations to explore (much of which focuses on the Imagineers and their inspiration for the creation of the park itself). And, while we enjoy quite a few dishes on the menu, we’re here to talk about bread. That leads us to the first paid bread service on the list — Tiffins Signature Bread Service!

Tiffin’s Bread Service

The bread service is served inside a literal tiffin and comes with three different types of bread — Pomegranate Foccacia Bread (Tiffins Signature recipe), Crispy Papadams, and Veggie Pita Bread.

Tiffin’s Bread Service Breads

Plus, you’ll also get three spreads for your dipping pleasure — a Red Pepper Hummus, a Spicy Coriander Yogurt, and a Ginger-Pear Chutney.

Tiffin’s Bread Service Dips

We’ve tried all different kinds of combinations and one of our favorites is the Ginger-Pear Chutney and Crispy Papadams, which tastes a lot like Indian Chips & Salsa. And, if you can’t get a reservation at Tiffins, you can also grab this appetizer at Nomad Lounge right next door! Just keep in mind that this bread service doesn’t come with your meal and it will cost ya $12. (Well worth it, we think!)

4 — Tusker House

We’re sticking around in Disney’s Animal Kingdom for the next drool-worthy bread service at Tusker House! This spot serves up an all-you-can-eat family-style character breakfast, lunch, AND dinner.

Tusker House

It’s no secret that we love a good bread basket with dipping sauces and that’s just what you’ll get here! The meal features Fresh Rolls (that are nice and warm), Crispy Papadam Bread, and THREE dipping sauces including Chimichurri Coriander, Mango Chutney, and Red Pepper Hummus.

This Bread Service is Delicious

Each topping features a slightly different flavor, with the Chimichurri Coriander being fresh with only a hint of spice, the Mango Chutney having some sweetness from the mango and spice, and then the Red Pepper Hummus being the most basic but still good option. Oh, and did we mention that this bread service is BOTTOMLESS?! Yeah, this meal is all-you-care-to-eat. While other Indian or African style bread services on this list with cost ya, this is included with your meal! So you definitely need to be careful or else you’ll fill up before your meal even gets to the table.

3 — Chefs de France

Coming in at number three is the bread service at Chefs de France in EPCOT’s France Pavilion!

Chefs de France

Every meal here starts off with French Bread and Butter and, it may be simple, but you won’t want any other variety of carb after you devour this baguette! It is warm and crispy on the outside, and soft and fluffy on the inside — basically, everything you want from a good French baguette. Plus, the last time we ate here our server offered us more of the bread throughout our meal making it oh-so-hard not to fill up on it.

Chefs de France bread service

And, what’s Disney’s secret to making some seriously delicious simple bread? Well, it’s made fresh daily by the bakers at Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie next door! FRESH BAKED warm crackly bread? YES. PLEASE.

2 — Yachtsman Steakhouse

Yachtsman Steakhouse in Disney’s Yacht Club Resort just recently reopened and we couldn’t make a list of the best bread baskets in Disney World without talking about what’s served here!

Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club

Meals here start off with Pull-Apart Onion Rolls and Cherry Multigrain Sourdough that is served with Roasted Garlic and salted butter. It’s that Roasted Garlic smeared on those crazy good pull-apart rolls that really stand out here.

Time to Get Those Carbs On

Yep, you literally are served a whole roasted head of garlic! Smeared on some bread, the mellow, creamy, sweet-savory flavor of the garlic shines! This is really unique to this spot and a VERY memorable bread basket experience. Heck, we’d probably be content if we could just load up on the bread here and just order a side or two!

1 — Sanaa

And, coming in at the top of our carb-loaded list is (as a surprise to no one on our team!) the Bread Service at Sanaa in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge — Kidani Village! We’ve raved about the Indian-style Bread Service before and we’re going to do it again because it is just. so. good!

Dips as far as the eye can see

The appetizer comes with your choice of FIVE different breads including Traditional Naan, Garlic-Ginger Naan, Spiced Naan, Onion Kulcha, and Paneer Paratha and NINE accompaniments (aka sauces) including Cucumber Raita, Roasted Red Pepper Hummus, Mango Chutney, Tomato-Date Jam, Tamarind Chutney, Coriander Chutney, Garlic Pickle, Red Chile Sambal, and Spicy Jalapeño-Lime Pickle.

All. The. Dips.

Our favorite bread tends to be the Garlic-Ginger Naan but there is simply no way to choose a favorite sauce because they are all SO delicious and pair well with the bread (and you’re meal, really).

Even birds want to eat the Sanaa Bread Service!!

Just keep in mind that you DO have to pay extra for this one (though it’s totally worth it!) and it costs $19. But, we’d talk ourselves out of a fancy entree before we decide to skip the bread service here! In fact, if you’re living that “carbs can totally be a meal” life, you could probably get away with having one ALL TO YOURSELF for a meal! 😍

Honorable Mention

Kona Cafe

We couldn’t talk about Disney World bread baskets without at least mentioning Kona Cafe in Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort! This spot used to be well known for its Soft Rolls served with Macadamia Nut Butter, and though the Soft Rolls are now served with Plain Butter, there is still a chance that you can get them served with the better butter!

Bread Service

The last time we visited, we asked our server for the Macadamia Nut Butter, and lo and behold, they brought some out! This stuff is such a delight. It’s creamy, salty, kinda sweet, and has the occasional crunch from the nuts!

Macadamia Nut Butter <3

The butter is typically is served on the breakfast menu with the Macadamia Nut Pancakes so they may not have it during the lunch and dinner hour, but it is worth asking for that glorious salty and sweet whipped butter concoction.
