What is REALLY Going on With POG Juice in Disney World? Here’s What We’re Seeing

Have you had POG juice at Disney World before?

POG at the Barefoot Pool Bar

It’s made of Passion Fruit, Orange, and Guava juices all mixed together to create a delicious, fruity drink. We usually find POG Juice (sometimes also referred to as Jungle Juice or potentially by other names) in places like Dawa Bar and Tusker House Restaurant in Animal Kingdom and ‘Ohana and Kona Café in Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. But lately, we’ve been seeing some things with POG Juice have been changing! And many readers have been reaching out with concerns! So what’s really going on with this delicious drink?

We’ve been checking with various spots all around Disney World to find out what’s going on with POG Juice. Recently, we stopped by some of our favorite spots in Animal Kingdom, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, and the Polynesian to see if they still have any of this tasty drink available.

At Dawa Bar and Tusker House in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, POG is typically called “Jungle Juice.” When we stopped by both spots today (August 20th), a Cast Member told us that Jungle Juice was currently unavailable due to a supply issue. They mentioned that they’re not sure if or when it will return to these spots.

This is a big change from back in mid-June where we got POG Juice with our breakfast at Tusker House. And it’s a big change even from more recently. As recently as this past Wednesday, we stopped by Dawa Bar and they still had POG Juice available. But, now it seems things have changed.

This stuff is SO good

Over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, we stopped by the newly reopened Boma. There, the Cast Member told us that they did NOT have POG Juice available. Based on our understanding, Disney typically obtains POG Juice from a supplier, and it seems there have been some issues in obtaining it recently.

Next, We stopped by The Mara at Animal Kingdom Lodge. They also did NOT have POG/Jungle Juice. The Cast Member there said that they may have it when the hotel fully reopens next week.

The Mara

This is truly an interesting situation because just yesterday (August 19th), we had stopped by Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort in search of POG Juice. At that resort, we were able to actually able to grab a cocktail from Barefoot Pool Bar that contains POG Juice — the Niue Rita. The drink is made with Jose Cuervo Gold Tequila with Cointreau and lime, orange, guava, and passionfruit. The Cast Member there said that Barefoot still had POG Juice available and was able to utilize it in making this cocktail.

Based on our conversations with Cast Members at the Polynesian as recently as yesterday (August 19th), Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto, Tambu Lounge, and ‘Ohana, all still had POG juice available, but note that it may ONLY be available as part of a cocktail. When we went to Tambu Lounge, the Cast Member there specifically told us it could not be purchased on its own — it had to be part of a cocktail drink.

Also, at Kona Café, non-alcoholic POG was still listed on the menu, called Liliko’i Juice. However, a Cast Member told us it was unavailable at that time.

We’ve also seen POG juice as part of the Pioneer Mimosa at Trail’s End Restaurant at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, which we had recently when we ate there in July. It’s still listed on the Trial’s End menu online for now, but you’ll definitely want to ask and double-check if it’s available during your visit.

The Pioneer Mimosa

In general, it seems things are in flux with POG Juice around Disney World. Some Cast Members have told us there are supply issues and it may not be available for a while, but a few places were still serving it recently though it may only be part of a cocktail. So, if you’re heading to Disney World soon keep in mind that some spots that typically serve up POG/Jungle Juice might have this drink available while others may not.
