REVIEW: If You Don’t Get WARM CHEESE at The Alps Booth, You’re Doing the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival Wrong

The 2021 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival is in full swing and even more booths full of delicious eats are coming on October 1st!

Alps Booth is open!

Although there are several weeks to go before October 1st, a couple of booths had a surprise opening TODAY. We headed over to The Alps booth, which is a returning booth, for its early opening!

Menu

The menu at The Alps booth is the same menu we’ve seen before! It features Warm Raclette Swiss Cheese (with and without Alpine Ham), and a Blueberry and Almond Frangipane Tart.

The Alps Menu

The Huber Vision Grüner Veltliner is new to the menu this year, but the other drinks are returning!

Eats

We stopped by the Alps Booth today and grabbed a few old favorites that were on the menu last year! Let’s dive in and see how these long-standing items held up.

The Alps offerings!

We started with the Warm Raclette Swiss Cheese with Alpine Ham, Baby Potatoes, Cornichons, and Baguette for $5.50! There was a surprisingly large amount of food in this dish! Plenty of ham, cheese, and potatoes made this dish a filling bite! The potatoes were fork-tender and not too salty, which balanced out great with the salty ham and cheese. You don’t even need the baguette for this food to leave you full and satisfied.

Warm Raclette

This has been a festival favorite for years! It’s hard to go wrong with WARM cheese, especially when it is freshly scraped onto each dish.

Look at that cheese!

Finally, we got the Blueberry and Almond Frangipane Tart with Crème Fraîche for $4.50! This was delicious! It had tons of blueberries and wasn’t overly sweet. The textures of the crème fraîche, the crunchy almond slices, and the buttery tart made this a fun bite!

Blueberry and Almond Frangipane Tart

The almond frangipane flavor wasn’t particularly strong, it was more on the subtle side. If you’re into blueberry muffins or desserts that aren’t super sweet, this is the one for you!

Beverage

To drink, we grabbed the returning Frozen Rosé for $9, which was a perfect balance of sweetness and dryness. It was an excellent Rosé!

Cheers!

Fair warning: if it’s particularly hot on the day you get this, it might melt and turn from a Frozen Rosé to just a really cold Rosé. But this is a hit for Rosé fans!

Overall

As usual, we loved the delicious food from this booth! All the dishes we tried were returning treats, and all of them were just as delicious as we remembered. We highly recommend stopping by this booth and giving it a try. We can’t wait for its real opening on October 1st! We’re always keeping up with the latest Disney news so stay tuned for more!
