REVIEW: Green Apple BOBA?! You’ve Gotta See the New Hollywood Studios Drink!

PHEW! There’s been a LOT of Halloween treats arriving in Disney World for the start of Fall.

So festive!

We’ve already been snacking on a Halloween Lunch Box Tart, a candy corn milkshake, the spooky Witch’s Hat Mousse, and an incredibly tasty Ghost Cupcake! But, we’re taking a break from that Florida heat with a NEW frozen treat you can find all across Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

This is the Frozen Apple Cider! Apple cider is a Fall staple, so it’s no surprise to find it in the parks. But what is a surprise are those green apple boba balls at the bottom of the drink!

Frozen Apple Cider!

The regular Frozen Apple Cider comes with just the frozen apple cider and green apple boba balls for $4.99

These colors are so fun!

…but the Frozen Apple Cider Whisky is the alcoholic version of the drink that includes Crown Royal Regal Apple Whisky in the apple cider! This one is $14.

Some liquid courage before Tower of Terror!

You can tell the difference between the two because the non-alcoholic drink will come with a sugared rim, while the alcoholic version does not.

That sugar means there’s no alcohol in here!

You can find these festive drinks at a bunch of places in Hollywood Studios! It’s on the menu at Backlot Express, ABC Commissary, PizzeRizzo, and Rosie’s All-American Café.

Perfect for a hot Fall day

The drink is very sweet, but also super refreshing! It tastes just like apple juice.

It melts pretty quickly!

The green apple boba balls were AMAZING! They had a nice tart flavor that was a good contrast to the sweetness of the cider.

Such a fun flavor for boba!

If you get the alcoholic version, the whisky used in the drink is apple flavored, so you can’t really taste it, which could be dangerous!!

We’re not complaining, tho!

If you like spiked apple juice, then you’ll definitely enjoy this!

Frozen Apple Cider Whisky

But be warned that the apple cider is pretty sweet and you probably should be a fan of boba balls, otherwise the texture might catch you off guard, because there are a lot of them!

Lots of boba!

If you’re looking for a sweet treat that’s also refreshing and festive, this is a great option! But, if you prefer your drinks with a less sugary taste, pass on this one and try something else.

Frozen Apple Cider

You can snag the Frozen Apple Cider through Halloween AKA October 31st! You can also find SO many other themed treats around Disney World for the start of Fall, so stay tuned to DFB for more reviews of these fun Fall treats!
