What’s New in Magic Kingdom: NEW Jungle Cruise Characters and Some Patriotic Gear!
Hello from Magic Kingdom!
We’ve noticed quite a few new things on our recents trips to the park, and we’re here to tell you all about them! Let’s head down Main Street and get started!
Magic Kingdom Construction Updates
Jungle Cruise
The Jungle Cruise is in the middle of a huge transformation, so the ride is constantly changing! The structure containing dancing natives as well as the natives themselves were recently removed, and now, we spotted a NEW building behind the canoes! Take a look at what the area looked like before…
…and now after! The Boats & Baits and Bites” shack has replaced the space formerly occupied by the Pygmy Camp.
There’s also a NEW exciting explorers scene with characters that’s been added along the river!
The characters debuted in the iconic rhino pole scene, replacing the old one!
The new characters include Felix Pechman XIII (the skipper!), Dr. Leonard Moss (a Canadian botanist), Rosa Soto Dominguez (an artist from Mexico), Dr. Kon Chunosuke (an entomologist from Japan), and Siobhan “Puffin” Murphy (who obviously loves puffins!).

Joffrey’s
At the Transportation and Ticket Center, we noticed the Joffrey’s Kiosk sign has been painted blue!
It was previously red, orange, and yellow.
We think the fresh paint looks very nice!

Magic Kingdom Additional Updates
Social Distancing
We’re still seeing distance dots in some places around Magic Kingdom, like over in Fantasyland.
And there were still markers for when loading onto the ferry boats.
They have been removed from the ferry boats themselves though.

The newer mask signs have been seen on the digital screens around the park.
But they still aren’t updated on the maps.
