NEWS: Disney World Updates Physical Distancing Guidelines for Restaurants and Shops
Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen Disney World update its health and safety policies several times.
Temperature checks were phased out, mask requirements have been relaxed, and physical distancing is being reduced all around the parks and resorts. Today, we noticed another update to the physical distancing requirements on Disney’s website!
On the reopening page of the Disney World site, the language has been slightly changed in the physical distancing section. Previously, there was a line in the policy that said “six-feet distancing measures will continue in all dining locations, merchandise stores, and in areas where guests can temporarily remove their masks.”
Now, that sentence has been removed.
Where that line was before, the website simply states “Adjustments are still in place to promote physical distancing for guests. These measures will be reduced in a gradual, phased approach.”
Does this mean we’ll start to see physical distancing measures go away in dining locations and merchandise stores? We’ll be on the lookout for any changes! We’ve recently seen distancing markers disappear from extended ride queues and some theaters are now seating guests every row.
Stay tuned to DFB for more updates on health and safety changes in the parks and the latest information on what to expect during your next visit. We’re visiting the parks daily and paying special attention to these policies in effect to give you an honest report!
