Are You Having This Weird Disney World Park Pass Problem? Or Is It Just Us?!

Since Disney World reopened last year, we’ve seen the introduction of the Park Pass reservation system.

Cinderella Castle

Long story short: after you’ve bought your ticket for the day you’re visiting, you’ll have to make a reservation to visit the theme park you have in mind — subject to capacity restrictions, of course. And you don’t need us to tell ya that the whole system can sometimes be a bit of a struggle! But lately, a NEW Park Pass issue has popped up. Luckily, we’ve got a solution!

Over the last few months, we’ve been getting an error screen when we try to make Park Pass reservations, even when we have valid admission and the availability is wide open. Now, this isn’t happening to everyone — and it doesn’t happen every single time — but it could become an issue for you, too.

This seems to be a glitch in the system, but no worries! Here’s what you’ll want to do instead. First, double-check that you have an eligible ticket (make sure you’re not subject to any of those blockout dates!) and that the park you want to visit is not fully booked. You can do that by referencing the Theme Park Availability Calendar.

Make sure to check that Availability Calendar first!

After you’ve confirmed all of that information, go on and give Disney a call! You’ll want to dial the Walt Disney Travel Company help line at (407) 939-5277. Once you get a Cast Member on the phone, give them the dates and parks you want to make reservations for. You’ll also have to give them some basic info (like your email) to help them link your reservations to your account. But note that you could experience long wait times.

They’ll be able to do the rest for you by manually making your Park Pass reservations! Just make sure you double-check your My Disney Experience account to verify that all the dates and parks are correct.

And there ya have it! Sure, it isn’t the most convenient solution to have to call Disney and wait on hold, but it is a reliable workaround to this weird Park Pass glitch. You can also use the chat feature on the Disney World website, but they may direct you to call.

We have had multiple members on our team experience the headless Olaf situation when trying to book Park Passes recently. Let us know if you’re having this issue, too! And stay tuned to DFB for more Disney news.
