The Not-So-Boring Treat You Have to Eat at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort is a pretty beautiful place, but it’s also home to some tasty eats.

This resort’s quick-service location, Gasparilla Island Grill, is home to all sorts of fun options. We’ve tried everything from a Flamingo Cake to a new Mimosa recently, and now we’re back for a VERY summery treat.
Today, we stopped by Gasparilla Island Grill to try out the Strawberry Shortcake for $5.99.
Strawberry Shortcake
This treat is made with Layers of Fresh Whipped Cream, Diced Strawberries in Strawberry Coulis, and Vanilla Sponge Cake. That sounds like a pretty classic Strawberry Shortcake, so how does it taste?

This little cup was FULL of delish flavors that were very light and fresh. On its own, the cake didn’t have a ton of flavor but it was GREAT at soaking up the strawberry flavor from the compote.

There were plenty of fresh strawberries mixed in and that amazing, fabulous, hand-whipped cream that they do at Grand Floridian.

It certainly wasn’t anything spectacular or over-the-top, but it was simply scrumptious if you like a good strawberry shortcake.

Keep in mind that Gasparilla Island Grill is heavily encouraging Mobile Order right now and it can get busy at mealtimes. To shorten your wait, order a little in advance and select your pick-up window for when you plan on arriving.
