FIRST LOOK at the Reopened Cape May Cafe in Disney World

We’ve seen a lot of things changing at Disney World recently!

Things are constantly changing in Disney World!

Mask policies have been updated, attractions have been reopening, and now, more dining options are available around the resort. Today, we’re headed to Cape May Cafe at Disney’s Beach Club Resort for its reopening, and we’re taking you along!

Checking In

Just like most Table Service restaurants in Disney World right now, we were able to check in for our reservation on our phone! We used Mobile Dine Check-In to specify how many people were in our party, any dietary requests, and other details.

After a short wait, it was our turn to be seated!

Atmosphere

As we headed to our table, we noticed that tables were spaced out to encourage physical distancing.

Some tables also had protective screens between them.

The booths had protective screens!

And on our way to our table, our seater picked up a basket of pastries!

You’ll get pastries on your way to be seated.

Now it’s time to EAT.

Menu

Cape May was previously served as a buffet, but now you’ll get a skillet served family-style for the table! Our huge skillet had a single piece of French toast, a pancake, and a Mickey waffle (womp, womp).

Skillet

We had eggs, potatoes, and meat in a second skillet.

There was also fruit and yogurt.

Do keep in mind that this is an all-you-care-to-enjoy feast, so your server will bring out more food if you’d like! There’s also an omelet station if that’s what you prefer — just ask your server what you’d like. And don’t forget about those pastries!

There’s also a selection of beverages you can order a la carte, including alcoholic

Drinks, anyone?

…and non-alcoholic sips.

We’ll take some coffee, too!

We opted for the Canella Blood Orange Mimosa Cocktail!

We’ll be bringing ya a full review on that later.

Overall

The major differences at the reopened Cape May Cafe is that it’s served family-style, NOT as a buffet, and it’s no longer a character breakfast. We’ll be sharing our full review of our experience soon (and we’ll also be back to check out DINNER!), so make sure to stay tuned to DFB.
