BREAKING: New Language Suggests CHANGE to Universal Orlando’s Social Distancing Policy
We’ve seen some big changes to theme parks’ safety policies lately.
Today, Universal Orlando announced that they would no longer require masks indoors. This comes after both Disney and Universal have eliminated temperature checks, increased capacity, and reduced social distancing. But now, Universal Orlando is implementing yet another change.
Both Universal and Disney have recently reduced their social distancing from 6 feet to 3 feet. And now, new language on Universal’s website suggests that their social distancing policy may be eliminated altogether. When the website was edited to correspond with the new mask policy, the social distancing requirement changed from “3 feet” to “a safe distance.”
The updated safety guidelines now state, “We encourage all guests to keep a safe distance between travel parties.” There is no mention of exact measurements.
We’ll update you with how this new language is implemented in the parks — including if social distancing markers are removed. Meanwhile, Disney’s social distancing policy is still in place (and masks are still required there while indoors). We’ll keep a close eye out for any changes there.
