Review: This Is THE Place to Go for a Dole Whip Margarita in Disney World

Disney World is continuing with its phased reopening!

BoardWalk

Hotels, restaurants, and other experiences are slowly returning, and we’ve been keeping a close eye on all of it for ya. Recently, we told you that 2 spots to grab a quick bite were reopening. One of those is BoardWalk Joe’s Marvelous Margaritas! We’ve already stopped by for a look at the recently reopened kiosk…but of course, we had to grab some margaritas!

If there’s one thing BoardWalk Joe’s is known for, it’s those margs — after all, it’s in the name! We opted for TWO of ’em: the Marvelous Watermelon Margarita and the Captain’s Seaside Sensation. But as you can see, you’ve got quite a few other options!

BoardWalk Joe’s Menu

Let’s kick things off with the Marvelous Watermelon Margarita! This sip has Patron Silver Tequila, watermelon, lime juice, and sweet-and-sour, garnished with a sugar rim, cherries, and lime. Nothing fancy here!

Watermelon Margarita

We REALLY enjoyed this one. The watermelon flavor wasn’t strong at all, so even if you’re a tad anti-watermelon, you could still love this! While it is on the sweeter side, the heat from the tequila cuts some of that.

It was boozy but super refreshing. If you want to grab it, it’ll cost ya $14!

The perfect summer sip!

Okay, let’s move on to the Captain’s Seaside Sensation. This one’s made of a Dole Whip pineapple smoothie with Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum. It’s garnished with cherries and pineapple! Now, we’re HUGE fans of Dole Whip (in fact, we tried another spiked Dole Whip drink just yesterday!), so we’re eager to see how this one compares.

Captain’s Seaside Sensation

We’re gonna be honest: this sip isn’t anything we haven’t seen before. But it’s a classic, and we still love it. While the texture is smoothie-centric, the taste is ALL Dole Whip. It’s the perfect Disney vacation booze in our book!

We should also note that for the amount of drink you get, this sip (at $12) is a better value than some of your other options. If you’re in EPCOT and want a little break, both of these cocktails are worth the extra steps! But if you want something a little fancier, we recommend heading over to AbracadaBar instead. It’s nearby and has more complex offerings!

We want another one already. Help.

Next time you’re in the EPCOT area, pop by BoardWalk Joe’s. They make a great cocktail, and you can enjoy it while you take a stroll on the BoardWalk. What more could ya ask for?! As always, stay tuned to DFB for the latest Disney news!
