Here’s ALL The Events Coming to Disney Springs for Women’s History Month!
Disney is kicking off the month of March with some limited-time celebrations for Women’s History Month!
We’ve already seen banners popping up around Disney World and tried an INCREDIBLE new Dole Whip Float (read the review, you’ll appreciate our sad attempt at a pun) and there’s even more in store! Disney just released all of the details about their celebration of women and artistry and it turns out we have a lot of dates to mark on our calendars with events!
Throughout the month, Disney Springs will feature events that showcase female artists who work in a variety of creative fields including art, illustration, filmmaking, and entertainment!
The two spots to grab some of the finest Disney art in Disney Springs, The Art of Disney and WonderGround Gallery will have a rotating spotlight series ALL month long! The galleries will feature artwork from well-known female filmmakers, artists, and directors who have worked on Disney projects including Mary Blair, Ruthie Tompson, Retta Scott, Jennifer Lee, Josie Trinidad, and more!
And, you might even be able to catch one of your favorite artists creating the art you love LIVE! Here are the four artists that are currently scheduled to pop up and when!
- Julia Gabrielov will be at The Art of Disney from March 13th to 14th & March 20th to 21st
- Meredith Young will be at Marketplace Co-Op from March 26th to 28th
- Paola Gracey will be at The Art of Disney from March 26th to 28th
- Jasmine Beckett Griffith will make special appearances at Marketplace Co-Op on select dates between March 11th through 31st.
If you are a fan of Disney & Pixar’s Coco Little Golden Book or you went crazy over the Robinhood Dooney & Bourke collection, you’ll want to mark your calendar for this one! Fabiola Garza Villalobos, the accomplished author and illustrator for both will be at Disney Springs on March 8th between 10AM to 12PM to meet guests! Bring your bags and book or purchase one at Ever After Jewelry Co. & Accessories and get it signed by the creator herself!
And, it wouldn’t be a real Disney celebration if dancing wasn’t involved! Catch a variety of female entertainment acts every Wednesday night from 5PM to 9PM on the AdventHealth Waterside Stage located across from World of Disney. Just Imagin3 and the Skillzmatic Band “SMB” are just two of the musical performances that will be gracing the stage this month!
We can’t wait to watch as Disney Springs comes alive with Disney’s HER Story celebrations throughout the month of March! We’ll be bringing you all of the new entertainment and treats (obvi) so stay tuned to DFB!
