Disney World Lists SELECT HOTELS Which Fall Into One Park Pass Availability Group

Disney World is constantly making changes.

Disney World

We’ve seen changes made recently to Disney’s face mask policy. We’ve also seen refurbishments announced for rides and locations all over the parks, plexiglass added to more rides, and changes made to ride seating arrangements. Today we spotted another change — but this time the change is related to Disney World’s Park Pass Theme Park Reservation system.

Earlier today, we were looking at Park Pass availability for Disney World’s 50th Anniversary, and this is what the availability calendar looked like. You can see that there were previously 3 groups of individuals with differing Park Pass availability. The groups were listed as “Theme Park Tickets Guests,” “Disney Resort Guests,” and “Annual Passholders.”

But, if you look at the Park Pass availability calendar now, it has slightly different labels for those three groups. The three groups are now identified as “Theme Park Tickets,” “Select Resort Hotels,” and “Annual Passes.”

The top of the page now also shows a link that you can click to see what hotels qualify as “Select Resort Hotels.”

So, of course, we clicked the link and it took us to another Disney World webpage. This page notes that if you’ve booked an upcoming stay at one of the listed hotels, you can review the Park Pass availability for the “Select Resort Hotels” group. Screenshots showing the full list of Disney Resort Hotels included in this “Select Resort Hotels” group is below.

The list continues with more of Disney’s Resort Hotels.

A number of other Walt Disney World Resort Area Hotels are also listed.

We’re not sure exactly what prompted Disney to make these slight name changes. It’s possible that the previous listing of “Disney Resort Guests” was causing some confusion as to which resort hotels fell into that category. By specifying that the group is now “Select Resort Hotels” and identifying what hotels fall in that category — it appears Disney is able to provide more clarification on the issue.

We’ll definitely keep an eye out for more changes affecting the Park Pass availability calendar and let you know what we find. Stay tuned for the latest updates.
