What’s New at EPCOT: New Face Masks, Festival of the Arts Tents, and CROWDS!

Hello, everyone, from EPCOT!

Spaceship Earth

We spent a day at the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow to see what’s new and not only did we get to see a QUEEN, but we also saw the first Festival of the Arts tents going up, some new masks, and more!

EPCOT Food Updates

Joffrey’s (near Mouse Gear)

Joffrey’s still has a few holiday donuts available, including the Mint Chocolate Donut.

Mint Chocolate Donut

We’ve seen this one at other Joffrey’s locations throughout the parks.

Joffrey’s Outside EPCOT

The Joffrey’s outside EPCOT was open late.

Joffrey’s

We think this is the latest we’ve seen it open since EPCOT’s reopening!

EPCOT Experience

We spotted a brand new beer at the EPCOT Experience — Dunder Blixem Winter Ale by Big Storm Brewery.

We haven’t tried this one yet, but it’s described as sweet and spicy!

San Angel Inn

Over in Mexico, we noticed a slight change to get into the pavilion . Guests can show a Cast Member their reservation for San Angel Inn up to 15 minutes before and bypass the line to get into the pavilion.

San Angel Inn Sign

So it seems the fastest way to get into the pavilion when it has a long line, is to make an advance dining reservation at San Angel Inn.

Here’s our most recent review of San Angel Inn

Joy of Tea

Joy of Tea had some really long lines while we were at EPCOT.

Joy of Tea Line

When you have a craving for a Bubble Milk Tea, it’s worth it!

Review! We Love the Panda Bubble Tea and the Portion Sizes at the Shanghai Holiday Kitchen in EPCOT

Kabuki Cafe

Kabuki Cafe in the Japan Pavilion also had a long line!

Japan Line

It looks like a lot of people had a craving for Kakigori (shaved ice), sushi, beer, sake, or plum wine.

Refreshment Outpost

The pre-festival menu has returned. But this might change again once Festival of the Arts begins this week!

Refreshment Outpost Menu

The seasonal beer here is a Cinnamon Cider.

NEWS! Booths Announced for the 2021 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts!

Weinkeller

Over at the Germany Pavilion, we saw that the Gluhwein is now gone from the drinks list at Weinkeller.

Weinkeller Menu

Gluhwein is a warm mulled wine and is usually a seasonal item here.

Tutto Gusto Bar

Over in Italy, Tutto Gusto now has a grab-and-go drink menu! Salute!

QR Code Menu for Tutto Gusto Bar

Guests much go through Tutto Italia to enter to bar, and there is also a separate grab & go drink menu you can order from now.

Funnel Cake Cart

Although it’s a seasonal item, the Sweet Potato Funnel Cake is still available at the Funnel Cake Cart!

Sweet Potato Funnel Cake

To say we loved this funnel cake is an understatement: it’s a funnel cake with Marshmallow Topping, Cinnamon-Sugar, Honey-roasted Pecans, and a Caramel Drizzle. OH, yeah! And you can still grab it for $9.

L’Artisan des Glaces

We wanted some of that yummy goodness of L’Artisan des Glaces but had to wait in a long line to get it.

L’Artisan des Glaces Line

It was totally worth it, though, because the Raspberry Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich has returned!

Raspberry Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich

We’ll be on the lookout for any other flavors to return to the shop!

Les Vins des Chefs de France

There’s also a special champagne available in the France Pavilion while supplies last. Guests can ring in the new year with a glass of New Bollinger Champagne.

A 5 oz. glass will set you back $27.

Refreshment Port

Refreshment Port has its regular menu back up. The festival poutine is gone, and the regular poutine has replaced it.

Refreshment Port Menu

The traditional poutine is available for $7.50. But we also noticed something else: the Spike the Bee Spork remains!

Spike the Bee Spork

The spork is available for $2.50.

EPCOT Merchandise Updates

Pin Traders

We spotted a very cool Star Wars USB drive…ahem, a Data Storage Unit at Pin Traders!

Star Wars USB Drive

It even comes with pre-loaded content — maybe it contains a holographic map with the location of the last Jedi Temple! You can grab one now for $34.99.

There were also two new Star Wars-themed masks, like this Stormtrooper Mask.

And for those who prefer the light side of the Force, there is the May the Force Be With You Mask!

All of these new masks are $9.99.

EPCOT Attraction Updates

Test Track

Test Track was down, but people were still in line for it.

Test Track

At least a few people took advantage of the waiting to have a seat! We can’t blame them!

Start Your Engines! There Are a Bunch of New Test Track Tees in Disney World!

Journey Into Imagination With Figment

Figment has ditched his cute holiday sweater for his previous yellow sweater.

Figment

We liked the “imagination” put into the holiday sweater, too, with the original EPCOT logo for the Imagination Pavilion on it. But he’s still looking handsome in his OG outfit!

See photos of Figment back in his OG outfit

Mission Space

There was a LONG line for Mission Space: Orange — the wait time was 110 minutes!

Mission Space

This might be a good time to remind guests that there is a less intense version of the ride called Mission Space: Green that might have a shorter wait time. It’s not QUITE the same experience, but it’s a good option if the line for Orange gets long.

EPCOT Character Updates

Elsa

The Ice Queen herself, Elsa, came out to say hello to guests at the Norway Pavilion!

Elsa

There were LOADS of Cast Members around making sure to control traffic and keep things flowing in an orderly manner around her. We’ve seen her out before, but it was nice to see her on our latest visit!

PICS! You Can Meet Anna and Elsa at a Distance in EPCOT

EPCOT Entertainment Updates

Voices of Liberty

We enjoyed listening to the Voices of Liberty during the holidays, but now we’re sad to see they’re no longer listed on the entertainment schedules for the America Gardens Theatre.

American Theater Sign

But they’ll be back soon because they are performing for the Festival of the Arts, too! We can’t wait!

Friendship Boats

Now that park hopping has returned, we confirmed that the Friendship Boats are running so you can easily hop from EPCOT and Hollywood Studios and back again!

Festival of the Holidays

Although Festival of the Holidays has ended, we still saw the decor up at the front of the park. It’s likely this will just get changed out for Festival of the Arts decor soon, which starts this week!

Festival of the Holidays

We also spotted some hidden Olafs still hanging around from the Olaf’s Holiday Traditions Expedition scavenger hunt!

Olaf

Olaf just wants to be a part of EPCOT year-round to get all the warm hugs!
