What’s New at EPCOT: LOW Crowds, a Live Musician, and a 20-Minute Wait for Frozen Ever After!
It seems that crowds have lightened up at EPCOT this week!
We’re headed into the world of exotic countries, good food, and Frozen Ever After. On our grand tour, we spotted a returning drink and some fun merchandise in the Japan Pavilion. Come see what EPCOT looks like with no running festivals and light crowds!
EPCOT Food Update
Holiday Food
We wanted to take note of everything that is still available post-Christmas and post-Festival of the Holidays. The Holiday Kitchens are closed and the signs are still present. We didn’t spot any booths being transformed into kiosks for the upcoming Festival of the Arts yet. We have seen the merchandise tents pop up though!
The refillable holiday popcorn buckets have also been removed. We noticed the Mickey Birthday Celebration buckets and the Pixar buckets on display today!
Joffrey’s Coffee and Tea is still serving the specialty holiday drinks and snacks. There’s still time for one more cup of cheer at EPCOT!
Get your Caramel Tinsel Donut before it’s too late!
Les Vins des Chef de France
The wine kiosk in the France Pavilion offers assorted champagnes by the glass. We spotted bottles of Creme de Cassis if guests would like to add a little sweetness to their drink!
Champagne with a splash of sweetness sounds simply divine to us!
Block and Hans
The Arendelle Aqua Lemonade has returned to Block and Hans! This sparkling cocktail made an appearance during the Arendelle Aqua trend in 2019. The lemonade comes with lemonade, Monin Cotton Candy flavor, and Ole Smoky Blackberry Moonshine.
You can purchase the cocktail for $13.
Garden Grill
The Garden Grill restaurant dining area is placed on a revolving floor. The seats will slowly spin facing the Living with the Land attraction and the Land Pavilion. We noticed the restaurant wasn’t spinning today!
The Cast Member told us that it was unclear when it would start operating. Hopefully, it will start doing its daily rounds soon!
Pizza al Taglio
We lovingly refer to this location as the “Pizza Window.” You can walk right up to the window and order yourself a pizza slice on-the-go! We saw the Pizza Window open in September then it closed shortly after. Then, the window was open for a limited time during the holidays and is now temporarily closed once again!
We’ll continue to make our way back to the Italy Pavilion for more pizza updates!
EPCOT Atmosphere Update
Crowds
EPCOT is currently in-between festivals right now. The Festival of the Holidays ended and the Festival of the Arts will begin on Friday. The holiday crowds seemed to have thinned out too. We noticed the place was pretty dead this week! There were far fewer crowds in the pathways…
…fewer people waiting in line to enter the Mexico Pavilion…
…and Frozen Ever After was only a 20-minute wait! It’s pretty rare to find this attraction with such a low wait time.
We’ll have to wait and see if the Festival of the Arts attracts more crowds!
Entertainment
Disney has cut way back on live performances in the parks. We get pretty excited when we see a live musician entertaining the crowds. We stopped into the United Kingdom Pavilion and found a Pianist playing tunes at the gazebo!
Head to the quaint garden to see if you can catch a musician here in the future!
EPCOT Merchandise Update
Mitsukoshi
We usually suggest bringing a reusable water bottle to the parks. Water is pretty expensive at Disney World! We found some sponges at the Japan Pavilion gift shop that are perfect for cleaning your bottle during the day. We noticed these really adorable cat sponges for $6.95…
…water bottle sponges in the shape of Edamame for $6.95…
…and water bottle cleaner for $9.95.
That’s it for this week! Stay tuned as we make our return to EPCOT for the upcoming festival and for more fun!
