What’s New at EPCOT and EPCOT Resorts: Bubble Tea Mochi and NEW Ratatouille Merchandise!
Welcome back, DFB friends! We’re here with another What’s New at EPCOT and EPCOT Resorts!
And, we’ve got plenty of updates to share with you! So, what are you waiting for? Let’s dive right on in!
EPCOT Food Update
Pop Eats! Booth
Since the festivals get pretty busy, there are a few popular items that fans can’t pass up during the EPCOT Festival of the Arts. This year, Pop Eats! reigned as one of our favorite booths yet again with its AMAZING grilled cheese and tomato soup combo.
Usually, the booth will have tomato soup in themed Pop Eats! cans. Due to the demand, though, they disappeared for a quick minute… only to return again to the booth during our visit.
So, don’t panic — you can still get that aesthetic tomato soup photo for your social media, friends!

Lotus Blossom Cafe
Despite everything else happening around the park for the festival, Lotus Blossom Cafe still had a bit of a line as guests stopped by the quick-service location for Asian cuisine!
(We have a hard time passing up that Orange Chicken, too!)
We ranked the World Showcase pavilions by their snack options!
House of Good Fortune
As we continued around the China Pavilion, we popped into the House of Good Fortune to check out all the merchandise and snacks inside. We noticed that there were little Bubble Milk Tea Mochi goodies out on the shelves for $5.95, and (of course) we had to try them!
If you’re a fan of Bubble Tea, you will LOVE these sweet treats!
They tasted exactly like the drink, but in the form of soft and chewable mochi.
We tried Squid and Candy-flavored chips in the China Pavilion
Pizza al Taglio
Since the pizza window in EPCOT’s Italy Pavilion is seasonal, its openings come and go as the months change.
During our latest visit, Pizza al Taglio was closed next to Via Napoli. But, we’ll keep an eye out for the next time it opens to guests once again!

EPCOT Merchandise Update
House of Good Fortune
During your next visit to the House of Good Fortune, you can add a bit of Disney flair to your kiddos’ lunches by packing their eats and treats in the new Candy and Food Box in the store for $18.95.
The side of the box has a clasp to keep your snacks safe…
…while the inside has 6 compartments to place your meals.
The symbol on the bottom is the most popular symbol for the New Year, and it means “blessing”.

France Pavilion
Goodbye to the days of Christmas in the France Pavilion! We once picked up items like the Festival of the Holidays Christmas Ornaments on the shelves in the area, but they have now disappeared to welcome NEW options instead.
Speaking of which, Remy the Rat has taken over the gift shop by Les Halles, just in time for the grand opening of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure this year! In honor of the epic debut, you can pick up the Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure Phone Case that shows off the rat of our dreams in front of the attraction for $29.99…
…to go along with the matching Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure Magnet for $14.99!
We can’t wait for this attraction to open this year!

EPCOT Construction Update
Italy Pavilion
When are we ever NOT daydreaming about the next food location coming to EPCOT? (The answer is never.) Even though we’ll see spots like La Crêperie de Paris this year, we’ve been keeping our eye on the Gelato Cart coming to the Italy Pavilion!
We might not have too much information about the opening quick-service location, but we sure are exciting to have some fresh gelato when it opens in the Italy Pavilion!
And, guests will be able to try 12 different varieties of gelato and sorbet, including gluten-friendly and plant-based flavors. Plus, there will be a seasonally-inspired menu that incorporates local fruits into its recipes.

Space 220
Once Disney revealed that first little sneak peek inside Space 220, we were hooked on the upcoming restaurant. Recently, the construction walls have started to come down around the table-service location, making us hope that we would somehow see the restaurant debut soon.
Still, the Space 220 sign for the restaurant is covered at the moment as we wait to hear any updates about when it will open! Of course, when we find out more details, you’ll be the first to know too!

EPCOT Crowd Update
Now that the holidays are over and the new year has begun, the crowds are looking a bit different compared to November and December! Attractions like Spaceship Earth sat at 25 minutes…
…while very popular spots like Frozen Ever only had a 20 minute wait!
The Mexico Pavilion has generally seen longer lines with guests wanting to dine or explore the merchandise area. Today, though, there was no line to get inside (which was the cherry on top of our day)…
…but Donald is still missing from Gran Fiesta Tour, and so is his plant back-up!
The crowds earlier in the day were a bit lower than we expected since it was the start of the weekend AND festival time.
Even though we saw a few lighter crowds earlier in the day…
…the park picked up later in the evening as more guests ended their day in EPCOT now that Park Hopping is back.
And, a look at the World Showcase Lagoon was quite the way to end the day.
Now, onto the EPCOT area resorts!
Average wait times in Disney World have seriously DROPPED
Disney’s BoardWalk, Yacht, and Beach Club Resort Food Update
Despite the fact that Valentine’s Day has already started to sweep its way across the parks and resorts with merchandise and more, the EPCOT Resorts haven’t received any Valentine’s treats just yet.
But, we’ll be on the look-out as the holiday gets closer!
Check out the Valentine’s Day Celebration Wine Package coming soon!
Disney’s Yacht Club Construction Update
New rug, who dis? Disney’s Yacht Club is looking snazzier than ever since the lobby has placed new rugs inside the entrance. The previous rugs had more of a brassy, flower covered look…
…while the new one combines shades of blues, whites, and blacks!
The rug almost reminds us of an ocean to fit in with the theme of the resort…
…which looks absolutely gorgeous in the lobby, serving as a pop of color!
We’ll be on the lookout for any other changes, too!
