It’s another beautiful day in Walt Disney World, and we’re heading to visit the monorail resorts!
We’ll be stopping by Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa to check out the newest merchandise, snacks, and construction updates. We’re ready to get share all the latest news with you, so let’s go!
Monorail Resorts Food Updates
Contempo Cafe
We stopped by the Contempo Cafe on the 4th floor of Disney’s Contemporary Resort to see if there were any new snacks, but we didn’t spot anything new today.
The handy display here showcases the restaurant’s treats, and we’ve already seen the ones that were here.

Monorail Resorts Merchandise Updates
BouTiki
Over at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, the merchandise shop had a few new items that we hadn’t seen before. This adorable Mickey Mouse Polo was among them!
The shirt is decked out with Mickey’s birth year, 1928, on both the front and the sleeves. Guests can purchase this shirt for $59.99.
If you want something a bit more relaxed, then check out this Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort Bathrobe!
It’s made of a very soft material and has the resort’s logo on the front. You can pick one up for $125.
It’s certainly not the cheapest souvenir we’ve ever seen, but you can remember your vacation in luxury!
Basin White
We also stopped by Basin in the lobby area of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Here, we spotted some new bar soaps.
For Valentine’s Day, we saw two new Mickey soap designs with pinks and reds, and we also noticed the very unique Narwhal soap!
If you can’t make it to the Grand Floridian location, they also have a store in Disney Springs.

Monorail Resorts Construction Updates
Polynesian Resort Refurbishment
The refurbishment is well underway at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and we got a few snaps of the construction progress.
Parts of the resort are currently blocked off, and the monorail isn’t stopping at this location right now.
We’ll be keeping an eye out to see if anything changes over here, so stay tuned to DFB.
We’re really excited to see how this resort looks once the makeover is complete!
