The Average Wait Times in Disney World Have Seriously DROPPED This Week!
The holiday season has wound down in Disney World, but that doesn’t mean there’s any less excitement. This week kicked off the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts!
As guests flock to Disney World to visit the festival along with other iconic attractions. And we’re taking a look at this week’s average wait times in all four parks!
Magic Kingdom
This week, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train continued to have the highest wait time in Magic Kingdom, but it was significantly lower than last week’s average time, decreasing to 56 minutes this week.
Even the wait times for some of Magic Kingdom’s most popular attractions decreased substantially this week. Space Mountain had an average wait time of 34 minutes, and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad averaged 40 minutes.
Other popular attractions toting the park’s highest wait times include Splash Mountain averaging 44 minutes, Jungle Cruise with an average wait time of 35 minutes, and Pirates of the Caribbean at 36 minutes.
Now let’s check out average waits in the 20s, with “it’s a small world” at 29 minutes, Peter Pan’s Flight at 28 minutes, Astro Orbiter at 27 minutes, Prince Charming Regal Carrousel at 25 minutes, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin and Haunted Mansion at 24 minutes, and Mickey’s PhilarMagic at 20 minutes. Nearly all of these attractions have gone down in wait times since last week!
Plus, the average wait time for each of the upcoming attractions has decreased since last week as well! For those with shorter wait times in Storybook Circus, we see The Barnstormer at 15 minutes and Dumbo the Flying Elephant at 10 minutes.
Over in Fantasyland, we have Under the Sea — Journey of the Little Mermaid at 16 minutes, Mad Tea Party at 10 minutes, and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh at 19 minutes.
Other attractions with seriously short wait times include The Magic Carpets of Aladdin at 11 minutes, Tomorrowland Speedway at 13 minutes, Country Bear Jamboree at 4 minutes, and Carousel of Progress at 10 minutes.
And similar to last week, there were a handful of attractions with zero minute wait times, including Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse, Hall of Presidents, and Enchanted Tiki Room.
Generally speaking, the wait times in Magic Kingdom have decreased over the last week! This trend makes sense, as we move away from the holiday season.

EPCOT
Frozen Ever After and Test Track have both previously held the spot for the ride with the longest average wait time in Disney World, however, that is not the case this week! Although, Test Track does have the longest wait in EPCOT at 55 minutes, with Frozen Ever After trailing closely behind at 54 minutes.
Downward trends continue in EPCOT as average weight times decrease from last week. The next highest average wait times come from Mission: SPACE at 29 minutes and Soarin‘ with a 32-minute wait. Also in the Land Pavilion, we have Living with the Land at 11 minutes.
The rest of EPCOT saw really short wait times, including Spaceship Earth at 16 minutes, Journey Into Imagination with Figment at 12 minutes, Gran Fiesta Tour at 10 minutes, and the Seas with Nemo & Friends at 9 minutes.

Just like last week, all of the films in EPCOT had a zero minute wait, which includes Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival, Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along, Awesome Planet, Impressions de France, and Reflections of China. American Adventure also had no wait!
These wait times aren’t entirely surprising! Although Festival of the Arts draws many guests to EPCOT, they have LOTS to focus on besides the rides!

Disney’s Hollywood Studios
This week’s longest average wait times come from Hollywood Studios! This week’s leader is Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway with an average wait time of 58 minutes, with Slinky Dog Dash following closely behind at 57 minutes! Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway also came in first this week for most gorgeous sunset.
Other long wait times include the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at 48 minutes, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run at 49 minutes, and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster at 42 minutes.

In the 20s range, Toy Story Mania and Star Tours averaged 24 minutes, Alien Swirling Saucers averaged 20 minutes, and Muppet*Vision 3D averaged 21 minutes.
Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy saw a decreased average wait time of 18 minutes. Most of this week’s wait times were pretty standard, except for Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway which saw an increase of 23 minutes. Keep in mind that Rise of the Resistance is not included in these numbers due to its virtual queue.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Both attractions in Pandora — the Land of Avatar have shorter average wait times in comparison to last week! Flight of Passage averaged 54 minutes, 20 minutes less than last week. Na’vi River Journey averaged 41 minutes, also 20 minutes shorter than last week.
The wait time for Flight of Passage may have seen a decrease because every bike is now being loaded!

Average wait times throughout the rest of the park have dropped as well! Kilimanjaro Safaris had an average wait time of 21 minutes, Expedition Everest averaged 25 minutes, Dinosaur averaged 24 minutes, Kali River Rapids averaged 16 minutes, and It’s Tough to Be a Bug averaged 14 minutes.
Triceratop Spin had the shortest wait time in the park of 5 minutes.
This week’s average wait times have definitely seen a major decrease since last week! As we continue to move away from the holidays and into the a more “quiet” season at Disney World, we’ll continue to share updates on wait times, as well as crowds. Be sure to check back with us!
