Review! Shanghai Milk Candy Bubble Tea in EPCOT

HELLO from EPCOT’s simply stunning China pavilion!

It’s here where you’ll find the Joy of Tea kiosk as you stroll along World Showcase. This somewhat small spot serves up some delightful surprises. (Tipsy Ducks in Love, anyone?) And today, we’re picking up the Shanghai Milk Candy Bubble Tea to review for you as we make our way around the world!

Before we get to sippin’, let’s take a moment to gaze upon the cuteness of the cup, shall we? You may remember this adorable little touch to some of the drinks served in the China pavilion including the Panda Bubble Tea which you can also pick up now during the EPCOT Festival of the Arts.

Our little panda pal gives a wave and the artwork comes complete with the EPCOT World Showcase logo for the China pavilion!

Ok, NOW let’s take a sip… perhaps you’ve already tried the regular Bubble Milk Tea served here, featuring peach-flavored Black Tea with tapioca pearls. The Shanghai Milk Candy Bubble Tea, however, features Black Tea infused with liquefied White Rabbit Creamy Candy (which they just so happen to sell at Joy of Tea, too).

The end result of this candied concoction is quite sweet! Even sweeter than we anticipated upon reading the description, in fact.

That said, the candy doesn’t lend an overly saccharine taste to the tea itself. Whether that’s due to the White Rabbit Creamy Candy falling on the less sweet side of the spectrum or the actual infusion process, we’re not sure. It simply adds sweetness to the regular black tea. It’s quite tasty — smooth, sweet, and light.

That’s what makes this drink a good option both for non-tea drinkers who aren’t particularly sure about black tea and would like to try it, as well as tea drinkers who would enjoy a little something different while traveling along World Showcase (though dedicated tea drinkers may find it a little too sweet).

The Shanghai Milk Candy Bubble Tea is $7.95. And we’ve got more reviews from the China pavilion, as it is the current host to the The Painted Panda Food Studio for the 2021 EPCOT Festival of the Arts!
